Hi Guys, Id really like your help to help me and teach my how to use a barb good in PvP duels. I know probably alot of you know how to duel, but please help me, it's me first barb im making, and I don't know how well he will turn into? Best advice would be for you to check the forum history (recent ofc) both here and in the barb forum :thumbsup:

There are plenty of threads about bvcs, some of them mention bva, and bvb is most likely not going to do great in public games as it's a specialised 1 vs 1 build. You have also made a thread in the barb section asking that question :evil:

I've never played a kicker but there are people here who can help you with that question.

Well, if you want to bvb this is the gear that i shoot for (and ill also put what i currently use on mine)

Arreats (only use a Eth Up'd if it has over 650ish def) w/ ed/dex jewel
Duress/Eth Up'd Toothrow/Fort
Greif Zerker
Angelic Rings Ammulet (THIS IS A MUST FOR BVB)
Verdungo's (as long as you have 15 DR the other stuff isnt too critical)
Up'd Gores (shoot for 190 def+ 213 is perf)
Dracs (ANOTHER MUST imho)
SS w/ ed/dex jewel (Eld if you cant find a good ed/dex jewel)

All the melee charms you can get your hands on. IMO it should go AR > Life > Dmg. A 130+ ar/ 30+ life GC are god sends. Also, try for 20/xx Barb Torch and 20/xx/x Anni, you wont need res in a bvb duel so dont worry about it lol.

My current set up:

Arreats (Eth Up'd Arreat in stash damn thing only got 56x def though...)
Duress Boneweave (soon to be Duress Locoriated Plate)
Greif Naga 352/34 (ya, really crappy temp weap i took from an old mld of mine i used for fun)
Angelic Ammy Rings
Up'd Gores (193 def i think)
Dracs
35/15 Verdungo

Lots of nice ar/life charms and even some dmg/ar/life ones. 18/12 Btorch i think, and a 18/16/5 somethin anni.

Just remember, in BvB OW's is more powerful than pure dmg. And i highly do NOT recommend Fort unless your packin some really nice ow's from somewhere. I try usually for 60+ OW's, though that might be a bit over kill.

Well... for one thing always make sure that you are walking in a BvB duel. Running lowers your block rate down to 25%. If you see another barb running while you are dueling him, its just like he is giving you a free shot.

How i usually duel lately, i make sure that i make very short ww's and that i always keep my cursur over his head, incase he goes off screen so i can basically walking home in on him. Try ww'ing at a slight angle so your clipping him, not a direct ww over him. The clipping technique can also be used against smiters, only difference there being that you should ww clip in a zig zag fashion away from the smiter if he tries to give chase. Otherwise just clip ww around him.

Now BvB duels are usually kinda long, at least 2-3 minutes if your decent and your fighting someone of equal stance. Its the ones that are of equal stance that you really need to ww well against.

I would say tri ww, but im not even that clear on how to explain it, let alone use it as a tactic. Its a acquired skill that takes some time and practice to get down. Once you do though you will just decimate.

One last thing to end this post, all ww builds use tri ww's, but few are able to do them, and even fewer who can do it pretty much w/o thinking about it. If you can even get to the point where you can do it thinking you will have a leg up on most other ww barbs. Im sure the barb forum as a detailed explanation of tri ww's either in the BvC guide or somewhere stickied. If you cant find it right away, just use the search function.
