Same thing here in USeast. I started play d2 after 5 years and the first month I stayed in Hell act3 only runnying mephisto untill I got some decent gears. When I finally reach Act5 for some baal run recently, to my surprise, nearly all the baal run games are created by bots...Nobody cares about this game anymore.
At least on Europe its full of baal bots.
last ladder i enjoyed the sport of bothunting. it was a challenge to get into the game, hostile JUST the bot and kill it at the WP.I'm just curious, is there anyone who routinely PK those bots? It's just a good way to collect enough ears
goldfinding.why the hell would you want to kill bots?
thats stupid when could've leech them off items from baal and minions.last ladder i enjoyed the sport of bothunting. it was a challenge to get into the game, hostile JUST the bot and kill it at the WP.
and the joy of draining a bots gold so it can't res it's merc so it just stands in the one game for hours and hours.
unfortunatly most of the squillions of bots on West will chicken out of the game as soon as you hostile em. which isn't very sporting.
yes, bot hunting used to be fun and very profitable. The current spate of bots seem to help most people by allowing leechers and not picking up many drops. Though just as annoying, they usually run when hostiled.http://forums.diabloii.net/showthread.php?t=587637
These were very different bots to the ones that run baal games presently, but killing them was hella fun, and remarkably profitable! In fact it became so common you'd often have people in the game competing to kill the bot first! The baal bots that are around currently seem to merely quit when hostiled. About the only reason to hostile them is if you want to take out baal yourself for a higher MF kill as these bots tend to wear more damage optimisation gear rather than MF gear.
