Been doing Caster Amulet Crafts. Did 15 yesterday and 15 just now. As much as I can do with the amount of resources. I need to start saving Junk Jewels some more, I gave up on that a long time ago. I gambled Amulets on my 93 Sorc and used amulets that were iLvL 93+ on the Sorc to craft them. If that doesn't sound right, lemme know please :).

First 15 were nothing to write home about. The last batch had a couple "okay" ones. Even though I have tons of gems, I am going to start picking up flawless Amy and Rubies for sure and possibly all of them for awhile. I took a break from picking up most flawless gems so I could run faster and try to get runes, but I usually do the Flawless Amy/Ruby even then.

The best one I landed was this one I would say:

    Bitter Necklace
    Amulet
    Required Level: 89
    Fingerprint: 0x71fe134
    Item Level: 93
    Version: Expansion 1.10+
    +2 to Necromancer Skill Levels
    +9% Faster Cast Rate
    +20 to Mana
    Regenerate Mana 8%
    All Resistances +16
    Fire Resist +29%
    27% Extra Gold from Monsters

These were the average ones from this batch:

    Wraith Gorget
    Amulet
    Required Level: 89
    Fingerprint: 0x9ba6ff48
    Item Level: 94
    Version: Expansion 1.10+
    +2 to Necromancer Skill Levels
    +5% Faster Cast Rate
    +15 to Attack Rating
    +85 to Mana
    Regenerate Mana 7%
22% Better Chance of Getting Magic Items

    Doom Mark
    Amulet
    Required Level: 62
    Fingerprint: 0x9be2ced2
    Item Level: 94
    Version: Expansion 1.10+
    +1 to Sorceress Skill Levels
    +9% Faster Cast Rate
    6% Mana stolen per hit
    +13 to Mana
    Regenerate Mana 7%
    Cold Resist +27%
    All Resistances +7

    Doom Torc
    Amulet
    Required Level: 49
    Fingerprint: 0xa0216541
    Item Level: 94
    Version: Expansion 1.10+
    +1 to Sorceress Skill Levels
    +9% Faster Cast Rate
    +11 to Mana
    Regenerate Mana 4%
    Cold Resist +20%
    Lightning Resist +23%
    Magic Damage Reduced by 3

    Blood Mark
    Amulet
    Required Level: 37
    Fingerprint: 0xebde5fba
    Item Level: 94
    Version: Expansion 1.10+
+1 to Summoning Skills (Druid Only)
    +10% Faster Cast Rate
    +22 to Mana
    Regenerate Mana 5%
9% Better Chance of Getting Magic Items
    +1 to Light Radius
    [\spoiler]

Blood Rings are probably my next experiment, when I get some junky jewels going. I might be able to go through my Jewerly, Charms, etc. stash that has over a thousand items and be able to find some junk jewels. Also on some of my stashes I was using when my characters were low level and I was playing through using only what I found. So I may be able to start doing Blood Rings in a minute. Hopefully I will have some better stuff to post than these.

@Jamie The level 93 thing refers to the level a character needs to be in order to gamble amulets and then craft them and still have a chance at +2 Class Skills.

As an aside: When you gamble AND craft with a character then the resulting crafts will have at least item level clvl-3, which is where the 93 for amulets and the 89 for rings comes from.

A level 93 character can in fact use any amulet of level ** or higher to craft a +2 Class Skill amulet.

I am happy that I was able to get 204% FCR on my 93 blizzer, without having found an Arachnid's Mesh yet and not having to move over my Griffon's from my Javazon. I didn't think I had the stuff to do it, but crafting recently had me look over some crafts I did a long time ago and I found a 19% FCR Amulet, the rest of the mods are crap but for running LK it doesn't matter.

    20FCR Circlet
    Wiz Spike
    35FCR Spirit Monarch
    Vipermagi
    Trang's
    2x 10% FCR Rings
    10% FCR Viperfang Belt
    19% FCR Crafted Amulet
Waterwalk (to hold minimal charms for using Wiz, Took out WTrav. Only had to add 2x 5 str LC and 1x 5dex LC. so pretty open inventory outside of keys and a couple charms)

This got me to 204% FCR. I had been meaning to look if I could actually hit 200%, not having a Arachnid and not having an extra Griffon's. I was kind of surprised I could actually hit it, I did not think I could until I got Arachnid's. When I saw the 19% Amulet and knew I had did a few belts awhile back, I thought why not check?

The difference in running LK with 200+FCR is amazing. I haven't used a 200 FCR Sorc since on B.net years ago. My Sorc is super weak if monsters get around me, but I haven't died and I avoid them pretty well.

I do plan on doing some more crafting on Blood Rings and Safety Amulets as soon as I get another nice pile of the things needed again. I have enough to keep going still, but I want to go on a long session. And then probably use the others to craft charms. Although I would like to do some trading eventually. I always loved trading items back in the online days. I just find it fun for whatever reason.

But there's no 'harm' in doing both the gambling and the crafting with a lvl 93+ character, right? I mean, it's not like the level of the crafter has an influcence on the level req of the item, or the possible outcome of the amulet?

Yeah, at the end of the day every character of level 93 or higher will get the same chances at that amulet doing gambling and crafting. There are no affixes on amulets with an alvl bigger than 90 and hence no 'elimination' of affixes can be achieved. You could end up with Bone Spirit charges, the highest Min Damage Affix or 6%LL and get an rlvl of 94, 95 or 95 respectively. Really nothing you can do about that except level up.

I don't think anyone in the 'endgame sector' crafts an item with ilvl less than 71 or without being able to get all affixes possible. After all Crafts are on the verge of being beaten by any other item type, even magics...

Fun Fact: The first crafting guide I ever read has a funny section on what clvl one needs to have in order to craft rings with rlvl less than 96, i.e. avoiding the +6% ML. That's absurd on so many levels... If you're up to investing 1000's of craft items into making a great Dual Leech ring then you're also up to getting a character to level 96 to use it. :D

@T72on1 The info I have: The ilvl of a Crafted Item is equal to half the level of the crafting character (rounded down) plus half the ilvl of the input item

If you are crafting gloves you can use this with the base item qlvl to make sure you don’t get useless affixes like charges.

Now that I'm (slightly) less salty about my complete lack of runes from Travincal so far, these boots are actually pretty spicy.

I know non-eth vamp gaze isn't that special, but look at the roll on this one!!

wish it were fire or lightning, but still an awesome charm. if you like mf/res scs, check out the "sweet items" above. I found 2 others!

Can you imagine if these had 20 ias? 0_0

Darn shame theres no fcr or mana leech on this ring, but I think it will come in handy a couple of times:

Argh! Well, they can't always be winners. Still an awesome armor in that base though.

    @WoRG
Not sure if the last part was serious, but it's all good. Just jokes. :D Your items are raising the bar(s) -- a good thing!

My combined contributions to the SPF have been very minor, nothing compared to all the extensive guides you can find here (including yours). Really not necessary to mention (let alone thank) me. But I do appreciate it a lot, so cheers. :D

Grats again on the dope items, you've earned'em! :j

"Diablo might occasionally drop from his Hell TC"

Was this sorted out? There were reports of Duriel dropping items from his NM or hell TC at least.

Can't believe how long these boots have evaded me. Despite of all the years spent playing, these are an all time grailer for me. Thanks, Mister D!

    Screenshot750.jpg

Roll was a bit lackluster +33% mf. But, not to worry, I also got this from him. Now only the armor remains to be found. But what goals do I have after that? Damn...

@Ghonn Don't worry about the MF roll. Now that you have found them once they will drop all the time :D
