Avenger Weapon Dilemma

Hi,

I made a lvl 76 Avenger. I had all his skills and equipment planned out. The basic 20 veng, 20 conv, 20 HS, 10/10/10 res auras. My planned end game weapon was a shaeled Nords. With a 15 ias jewel in my upped rockstopper, I'd reach 9 frame vengeance.

Now, I just got done leveling my merc in act 2 when I go to the trade channel. Some guy is spamming that he has free items. I'm hesitate at first but I say oh what the hell, it can't hurt to check it out. I end up getting almost a mulefull of decent->good stuff O_O One of these items was a perfect heavens light! And i mean perfect in everyway, 300ed, 2sockets, 20 life/kill.

So, here's the problem. Should I stick with my nords or switch to heavens light. Heavens light can only hit 10 frames while nords can hit 9. Which is better, the 9 frame nords or 10 frame heavens light??? I kind of wasted the +3 skills on the heavens light because I already maxed conviction. I wil end up with +27 conviction with heavens light :[

Even when they are swinging at the same FPA, Nord's has a slight damager per second edge over Heaven's Light (Even factoring in the +3 effect on Vengence). This doesn't even consider the fact that Nord's is doing a bunch of cold damage which is amplified by our use of Conviction. I say stick with Nord's.

Hi, I think this is my first post but I read the threads very often. I'll use this topic to solve another doubt I have.

I'm a lv 68 Avenger (at this time maxed conviction and holy shield) and I'm using Nord's.

On the topic about the Zealer Elemental, I read about the Gimmershred trowing axe that adds a really good amount of elemental damage.

So what is the best weapon to use in this case?

PS.: I have a shael to put on the weapon, if needed (I'm really poor, Shael is my highest rune ever) =P

Oh, another thing I forgot. Can someone point me on a good mana leech glove/ring/ammy/whatever? I can't use Conviction all the time because of mana drain (have about 150 mana - base energy).

I have a gimmershred you can haveif you wanna test out the dmg and stuff.

For mana leech, right now i'm using only soul drainers (dual leech unique gloves). I think mine are 5ML and 7LL. Yeah, I have 1 base point veng right now and 7 after skills. I'm still in in hell act1 but I tried whacking a few things, and my mana drains kind of fast. I hardly leech because of the 1/3 leech penalty and such. I'm either thinking of trying cresecent moon amulet (3-6LL//11-15ML) or just stick to using mana potions =P

And a cheap mana leech ring would be manald heal. Hope this helps.

I have a Gimmershred too, just couldn't test it yet because level requiriment (70 - I'm currently 68).

Just asked which would be the best because Gimmershred add tons of elemental damage but (according Arreat Summit) the weapon speed is 10 and has 30% IAS.

On the other way, Nords adds massive cold damage, has wepon speed of -10 and 25% IAS.

Which would be better to use as an Avenger?

What should I socket on it to increase damage? (I have a Shael, pgems and a Ruby Jewel with 35% ED).

I'm gonna put a Shael in my Nord's. Coupled with a 15ias jewel in my helm, I would hit a 9 frame vengance (60ias). Just use whatever you need. ED for mroe dmg if you have enough IAS already. Or you could socket an AMN or Pskull for leech.
