Spellsteel has Decrepify and Teleport chages. You can use both to separate and slow the goons.

Combine with Kelpie if you're really desperate.

I don't think that teleport is necessary. As said, you can split them up with a decoy. Place it into one corner and then run to the other or cast valks and decoys until one fights the valk and one faces the merc. The decoy won't survive more than one or tweo hits, so just use it to make everybody pick the intended target.

You need crushing blow. I suggest to equip your merc with an Obedience polearm, a life leech helm like Tal's, Crown of Thieves, Vampire Gaze or Andy's Visage and an armor with IAS, e.g. Griswold's+IAS jewels or Treachery. Use a CB weapon yourself as well and fight with charged strike. LF isn't that good versus single targets.

Clear the way from the waypoint to the entrance. In case you die with no TP (it will disappear when sommoning them if cast on Arreat Summit), you have to run back from the WP. Also drop your gold in town, so you won't lose it when dying. It's needed to resurrect the merc.

Before summoning them, drop potions in several places, to pick them up when your belt gets empty.

Avoid nasty abilities like lightning immunity, physical immunity, amp, fanaticism etc., by dismissing them with town portals.

I would try to kill the leaper first, then the whirler and then the thrower. Feed the merc with potions (shift + click on belt) and recast valks before she dies, to avoid her enemy to select a different target.

I remember killing the Ancients rather safely using 8K Plague Javelin and running around like a crazy man for about 5 minutes. Kind of slow, but a sure fire way to get the job done!
