April Foo at the bank About an hour ago I left to do some erranding, which included a trip to my regular local bank. I pulled into the parking lot and was greeted by the sight of three police cars, lights flashing, and a group of cops hustling a sobbing, handcuffed fellow out the door and into one of the waiting cars. Inside, I naturally asked one of the tellers what had happened. She said the guy came up to another teller's window and said that he was robbing the place and wanted all the cash. Then, after she had already stepped on the floor alarm, he said he was just kidding and that it was an April Fool's joke. She smiled and waited on him, and just when he was finished conducting his business, the police burst in, made him lie down on the floor, searched him etc. etc. and rushed him off to the police station. Apparently he wasn't a regular customer or he might have gotten away with such a stupid joke, but who can take chances these days? I sigh deep in my soul when I hear of such shenanigans, and pray for the future of the human race, when I am faced with such nincompoopery. I am a serious prankster sometimes myself, but certainly not a suicidal or hurtful one. Hopefully this will be in the newspaper tomorrow. What a foo'.
