Anyone use sunbeds? ;x

Well i went on for the first time in about 6 months yesterday, I was used to 100 watters for like 6 mins at a time back then and they got this new place in my town so i checked it out.
She suggested i use the 200w sunbed for 10 mins since it was my first time in a while so i did and now im completely ill :/
My skin feels cold all the time and i keep getting tired so im sleeping in the afternoon etc..
Has anyone had the same scenario? If so how long do the crap effects last?

I never use sunbeds, but my girlfriend works in a tanning salon so, from the little you just said, my advice is don't return there. They didn't make a very good recommendation on what to use. The girl should have most likely recommended 2-3 minutes on a 200 watter. Probably 2, since it's been 6 months since the last time you tanned. Then you should have worked your way up to something more standard, like 5 or 6...

But I'm more or less guessing at that, running on bribes of conversation I picked up while waiting for Kate to finish working.

Yeah, I use sunbeds. To irradiate cell cultures! Living to todays world causes enough systematic harm to your body without microwaving your nads, me thinks.

My ex-girlfriend went to the tanning salon a few months ago...she got some bad blisters on her yoo-hoos. That was quite unfortunate.

hmm.. mine didn't blister, but they peeled horribly and got gross big bloody scabs on em.. where they burnt to this day is still a little more red than the rest of em, heh :(

hmm.. the nastiest part was when i was peeling the burnt skin off of my nose, the skin i was peeling off was like a smoky black color.. that's how bad it was burnt, it wasn't totally black, but it had a black tint to it

it was my fault though, sitting in the ocean in the direct sunlight in massachusetts in the middle of the summer is stupid, especially from 9:00 AM- 3:00 PM :D

Yea, that doesn't sound too cool. I knew a girl who did that down here in Florida, she fell asleep, woke up and could hardly move. She missed school for about a week or two.

The worst is when the days are hot but overcast. You sit out there and think that you aren't even getting a tan, and then you get into your car and you realize how burnt you really are.

Almost like that old Volkswagen commercial...the two guys go to the gas station on a long road trip and each has 1/2 half of his body red...so then they switch sides

I think it's stupid to pay to get a tan....its like buying dirt in a bag, or water in a bottle, or air in a can...buying what should be free.

well its a resistance for when i go surfing, if i go to sunny spain pale as a milk bottle, im gona fry in the first few hours no matter how good the sunblock is im wearing so i dont wana spoil that cos surfing r teh pwn

plus a tan is healthy for my skin (not in heavy doses as its bad for you) as well as attracting teh foxeh ladies
