    Any suggestions for unusual builds?

Does anyone have any ideas for unusual builds that might be fun?

My last fun build was a pure golemancer - every skill point into my golems and golem mastery (aka spectatormancer or ridiculously slow and boring - o -mancer). I got to level 38 before I'd had enough "fun". I was planning on mostly using fire golem and an act 3 cold merc for complementary damage types. I killed normal baal with the clay golem and merc making sure he didn't move for the whole 20 minute ordeal.

I had mostly elemental damage going on and thought lower resist might be useful - but it would go against the build idea - and then a miracle happened. Has anybody else ever found a use for a pus spitter?

    Welcome to the SPF!

What character class would you be more interested in. more comfortable with, or recommend?

You could try a MA Bowazon, using only Magic Arrow in the bow/crossbow tree. I read about it on this Forum and wanna try one sometime or another. And if you want more fun, you can try it HC untwinked. Maybe base vitality. :flip:

I recall someone once mentioning a paladin using a bow, which sounded cool but I don't know any of the specifics, I.E. does zeal work with bows?
That thar be me own two cents here.

You mean the Ranger Paladin. I don't believe zeal works but you could always use the holy shock aura and make him a holy shock Ranger. :)

Neither Zeal nor Vengeance works with a bow. You could go Holy Shock or Holy Freeze. I'd rather the Holy Freeze just for the slow down, that leaves you getting a might merc for a large damage boost. Or you could get Holy Freeze and Holy Shock, for the lightning or cold immunes. But, if you run into a LI/CI you might have trouble.

You could try a spearazon, they aren't too common anymore.

Good way to go. I think Poison Dagger works with thrown dagger-class weapons. It's an unusual build, but one that's a little more viable than a HC untwinked base vitality Magic Arrow 'zon. :uhhuh:

That base vitality comment was said kinda in a joking manner. I doubt with base vitality you could get past Duriel. Might be kinda fun to try though, I'd like to see how far you could go. Too bad I don't have the patience to play a doomed from the beginning character. If you forget about the whole vitality thing it might still be fun.

Lemme see, off the top of my head:

    Thrower barb.
    Singing barb (aka Warcry-R-Us).
Meleezon (don't know the official title of this, a non-spear wielding melee 'zon with all passive skills).
    Bowsorc (usually with Enchant).
Inferno sorc (don't think they're viable anymore though).
Meleemancer (curses and a golem - stay away, he's mine  ).
Tesladin (getting more mainstream, but still not that common).
Trapsin (haven't seen many of these since 1.10).
    Mojomancer (don't even try).
    Poizon (Poison/Plague Javelin 'Zon).

    Just a few options, lol.

Edit: This so reminds me of Greybeard's themed Paladins. Like his bow/single-handed sword Aragorn, and his staff Gandalf. *sigh*

This confused me until I figured out that you meant the guy could throw the knives OR do PD with them. :cheesy: Sounds like fun, though . . . might be something to try next!

a blacksmith...pretty much a smiter with blessed hammer.

youre basically maxing Holy shield/consentrate/BHammer/Baim or vigor(if you want a good charge as well) and then then rest go into smite...with like 6 plus skills(easy for a pally) you could get about 3-4k hammers and probably around 1.5k smite when youre done....I really want to try this....was a build in .09 and i want to adapt it to 1.10

There's a sticky on the Sorceress Forum describing a 'Titan Sorc'. A summary of this build would be:

    20 Warmth
    20 Enchant
    20 Fire Mastery
and the rest wherever you like.
Statpoints for some reason only in Str. and nowhere else. Obviously, this build is made for dying quite a lot of times and it's probably not viable in Hell at all, but it might be fun to try. ;) Anyway, check the Sorceress Forum for further information.

Inferno and the likes are bugged in 1.10, dealing only a fraction of their listed damage. So you're right, Inferno sorc isn't viable in 1.10.

I welcome your explanation of how you can "cast" poison dagger. :teeth: I'm pretty sure PD is a form of melee attack (not a passive skill), and "throw" is another attack that can't overlap with PD in any way.

That sucks. Would be good if all those low-lvl skills could actually be made to kill, as per 1.09. Charged boltresses, nova sorcs and inferno sorcs were fun

I think boxer is kind of usual, not that rare. Just not a end game build, but fun.

Build my Jedi (lightsabre using assassin, with mind blaster as Jedi mind/force power, no shadow, no trap or lightsabre sorc going melee with lightning skill as force power), Jedi is fun.

Is the Wirtadin still viable in 1.10? It's a fun build in 1.09, mine is still slogging its way through Act 1 HELL. I haven't played him for a while though.
