Any successfull trist zons?

Anyone had any success with a zon in the new uber trist?

I really want to go about making a CS zon or maybe a strafer, Strafe would be really nice to take out all the skeles.

Any experiences/thoughts/ideas?

Bowazons just don't cut it there. Mercs/Valk die as soon as they are cast/resurrected, whether it be by the bosses or swarmed by minions. Strafing don't do a damn thing as more minions will appear. Strafe also locks you in place and a few elemental shots to the face from the bosses and you die, regardless of resists/absorb. The only use for a bowazon would be to help a tanker like a smiter pally.

Haven't tried it solo, but we did 8pl tristruns today and the javazon present (lvl 96) was doing some serious damage with CS. However the bosses were covered with infinity (surprise, surprise, the merc survived). No idea if javazon can be so strong without infinity there.

IMO bowzons can be useful there if they have CB items like Guillaume's but soloing is probably out of question.

Personally, if I was going to solo Uber Trist with a zon it would most defenently be a CS Javazon. Of course, I haven't ventured into Uber Trist yet, so I don't know what the elemental immunities look like, and I don't have an Infinity for my merc, so I plan to make either a Smiter or FanataZealer to deal with that just to be safe.

I imagine a Bowazon would be a welcomed addition to a party provided she has knockback. The cover fire from Strafe or Multi would give your melee partners some breathing room so they could focus all of there attention on the bosses.

Of course, if a Bowazon had high resists, knockback, Crushing Blow, Open Wounds, and her merc and Valk were up to the job, I don't see any reason why she couldn't solo it.

Of course a bowazon would be a great addition to a party with strafe + knockback or multi + knockback to keep the summons away. The point is that a pvm bowazon is only as good as her tanks. Once the valk and merc drop dead the summons and boss elemental attacks will be right in your face. At that point

1) You can't strafe because you will be in evasion lock, or you will just die due to failed evasion check

2) Multishot even at 7 fps won't do a damn thing against these bosses, even with the godliest of equipment. I used a strafezon at 8/2 with GMB faith, fort, merc with reaper's toll on uber izzy in a ONE player private game and it still took me a good 5-10 minutes to kill him, and he doesn't have a ton of summons/secondary bosses to help him.

edit - As for those who keep insisting a solo bowazon can do it remember that act bosses (i assume the uber three count as that) have 10x damage bonus against mercs/summons (like valk). 2-3 hits at most on even the godliest mercs/valk level and they will drop dead. If you go to town they will heal back to full.

Get more crushing blow :)

Anyways, I'd go to trist with my .... BEARAZON if she had a wee bit more resists, or a salvation pally backup xD 60something all forms of not being hit :) (yes, sadly including block, not 75% yet) ... oh and she has dracul's for lifetap

P.S. Soloing trist with a CS zon might be tricky if you get surrounded by the 5 x Immune Venom Lords

just wondering, what was that merc using?

a lot of the skellies are lit immune. normally im use my summoner to help tank in uber trist but yesterday, i was helping a buddy out and the portal got clogged so i brought my javazon. i've got an infinity on the merc so me and another javazon rushed the portal and spammed LF. it only took like 2 to take out all the skellies, so it was pretty effective. :) iirc, meph has some crazy lit res though so CS would be useless without an awsome infinity.

i was hoping to see your jav in action but we DID need your summoner's meat shield when we got jordan's torch....i have re outfitted the same bowazon(pure dex) that i used last time and with better equipment and she is a viable player now(proven last night)....i have another bowazon built for defense(my old clone killer) that i may try solo today...need a few more keys....i doubt that she will be successful but if she can't do it i doubt any bowazon can....she has taken more annis than i can count...able to ignore uberd's elemental attacks and has even escape from a few phys attacks when i was careless and let the clone jump on her....we will see

I'm building a proc'zon right now (not for trist, just for fun and maybe mf). i thought maybe she would have a shot at the uber clones with the gear im using, faith has itd, laying of hands adds a nice amout of dmg to demons, atmas ammy would give amp, gores would give me some cb, and nos coil has slow, (she would also have very nice res), i would also switch a ring for natures peace so i dont have to deal with minions (after i get some of my own of course). i would think that a zon built like this stands a chance, or are they really that hard?

You're forgetting one important thing which i already stated, a pvm bowazon is only as good as her merc/valk. Take away those and you take away her ranged advantage and a shieldless 800-1000 life character in melee will drop dead awfully quickly in uber tristram. The act bosses pretty much kill a valk as soon as they are cast and mercs do a backflip in pain as soon as any boss attack hits them, especially conviction lighning bolts.

Infinity, Stone 3,2 and Gaze (to my best knowledge). The point is his merc didn't get attacked in the fight, and my merc survived the fight also :D.

Anyway I think a possibly good zon to solo tristram would be a palazon with CB and stacked res + life tap wand. Any thoughts?

Wouldn't the 13419741341 things attacking the palazon send her into block lock due to horrible blocking with non thrusting weapons? Unless you used fleshripper...

Yes - they are that hard...and nature's peace doesn't work against the minions - they aren't resurrected, they are spawned like a clay golem. Except 10-15 at a time...
