Any Mathematicians out there?

Hi, I am playing D2 + my character gained a magic weapon...A 'Fine Maul'
The range of damage it can do is 36 - 52. The magical properties are blah blah blah and..
+23% enhanced damage
(so the dmge is 36-52 including the 23%)
I need to know what the range of damage was before the +23%.

Because I would like to use the HoradricC to add a socket or two and infuse some gems..
But I suck at math and need to know this answer.

As you might figure adding 23% ed is the same as multipying the damage with a factor of 1.23, so to get back to base you'll only need to divide by 1.23. Normally that is, d2 cannot run with lots of decimals on the damages, therefore you'll not get correct answer, only something close when doing that simple math.

on the other hand you can cheak the base damages on all items at the arreat summit, for a maul that be: 30 to 43 (36.5 Avg)
