any interesting builds?

hello,
I am on only paladins now, deleted all my other class heros, and sold all their equipment, quite a nice heap of a ists now  , but thats not what I wanted to talk about, I made this thread to look for an interesting build, I have one Zealot (my fav char in the game) and lately I made a weretemplar (palabear) and he's just great, one of the best chars I have ever seen, he's so interesting and fun to play with , but now I am looking for a new interesting build, I was going to built a smiter for non-melee duels but it's like a bit too 1337 build, I hope someone knows any interesting build I could try..
btw, I mostly like melee chars but any ideas are welcome..

thanks

An 'Auradin' is an interesting and fun build, both pvm, being it can kill anything in the game with no worries of immunities, and pvp, though castors and zons galore will cuss, chew, and ***** you out to no end because you can kill most of them with aura pulses alone, and most melee will be your worst nightmare, depending on what type of Auradin you are.

The one I use uses:

Armor: Dragon archon
Weapon: Hand of Justice phase blade
Helm: Dream tiara
Shield: Dream sacred rondache
Belt: T-gods
Ammy: Mara's
Rings: Raven and Dwarfstar
Gloves: rares w/ resists
Boots: Gores

Switch: Cta and a skill-less :( shield

From gear alone, he gets Holy Fire and Shock auras, both at lvl 30, and coupled with a maxed Conviction aura, he does some serious damage. It's basically a hybrid of a Dreamer and Torchadin/Seraph build. Downside is that it was really expensive to make (2 Lo, 2 Sur, Cham, and 2 Jah), and he's really restricted in skills, being two Resist -- auras had to be maxed, for one. For a cheaper (and maybe easier) version, concentrate on only one aura; going with the Dreams is the cheaper choice, being you only need 2 each Io, Jah, and Pul, and depending on what helm/shield (get one with resists, you'll love it later) you use.

If you do make one, prepare to take a lot of crap for it. They're just jealous ;)

I have a fallen paladin (no auras) build you might find interesting...

20 Sacrifice
20 Zeal
20 Holy Bolt
1+ Blessed Hammer
20 Fist of the Heavens
1 Holy Shield

Holy Bolt reduces undead to ash very quickly, meaning that Oblivion Knights and ghost type enemies are no longer a threat to you, and crushing blow + Zeal makes short work of anything else.

A rare yet very effective Paladin build is the one with 20 Vengance, 20 Conviction, and some in the Ice/Fire/Lit resist auras.
I am a poor player, and with my crappy Baranar's I have no problems killing in hell.

Another name for that build is an Avenger. It is very effective.

yup i used to have a avenger and he did roxor in duels. all you need is a high damage weapon, dont worry about facets or elemental damage.

Heck with 5 dream and enigma kraken shell builds.

I am playing with a paladin, restricted from using offensive auras, even from weapons.

20 prayer
3 cleansing
1 meditation
1 vigor,
1 redemption.
1 sacrifice
4 zeal
1 vengeance
1 meditation
12 salvation
8 each of resists
1 holy shield 4 in prereqs.

He is using as weapon a 4 eth 1 shael phase blade. How does he kill, and quickly? He has Gore Riders, Guillaume's Face, Dracul's Grasp and Duress. With Guardian Armor and Hoz, he has 95 resist each of fire, cold and lightning and 90 poison.

lightning dream zealot hybrid is nasty when it comes to damage output... and cheap too (if you call roughly 6x HR cheap... but hey compared to an exile zealot with a good coa this is cheap). a real glass cannon, but fun to play... solos hell baal easy. great against non-melees in pvp too.

20 resist lightning
20 convict (or less if you're lucky enough to have offense GCs)
20 zeal
20 sacrifice
1+ into holy shield (spend the rest of your points here)
1+ into charge (pre req anyways)
or*
20 charge
20 might
+4 zeal
or*
20 charge
20 holy shield
+4 zeal
rest into defiance or blessed aim

gear:
dream helm
dream elite pally shield with decent stock resistance
fortitude/COH

grief phase blade/6os phase with sheals, eths, ias/res and res jewels etc/5os runemaster/cresent moon phase/botd phase/botd zerker/doom zerker/beast zerker/beast warspike etc etc etc all good depending on your application.

laying of hands/dracul's grasp/lava gout/rares
verdungo's/arach/nosferatu coil
gore riders/eth treks/tear haunch/aldur's boots

This is the easiest of the single skill tree paladins.

You should try a defensive aura only paladin!

I have one started and am looking to turn him into a mage like character with part of trangs set, and poison damage out the yingyang. I will be running an act 3 cold merc with him. Should be fun.

hmm, fallen paladin is nice but, seems to be weak, but all these dream, based builds seem to be very nice and strong, I might try one of them, thank you all very much...

Only defensive? Yikes... what skills to use though?

I'm thinking 10 res fire/cold/lit, max Salvation, max Redemption, max Defiance and a guardian angel armour?

I have a thread on this forum somewhere about my plans, he is clvl 27 right now and working towards completing act 3 normal.

There's always the 2 piece trang's set Fireball/Conviction pally . . .

A caster with style! Moonfall for synergy bonuses from Meteor charges, Dragonscale for % bonus to fire damage, Nigma for the +2 skills, strength, and tele, Maras, Shako, and 2x SoJs. You should be able to (without a ring of firebolt charges - another synergy boost for your Fireball) swing an 800 damage fireball - which, with Conviction destroying enemies auras, might actually kill you some enemies. Plus it'll look funny

I made a fun little guy...cheap equips and stuff though.

Resist Lightning- 20
Holy Shock- 20
Salvation- 20
FoH- 20

Strategy:

Turn on Holy shock. Run around with Hotkey 1- Holy Shock.
When you see an enemy chasing you, FoH them. On switch I have an EbotDz axe and a stormshield. I had like 10 points in charge, the massive damage from holy shock is like 1-9000 to a weapon, and 1000% dmg or so = ouch.

I also like to stand around and watch people get pissed... =D

You could try a cleric. the cleric is the most interesting and fun build i've played so far for pally.
