Another Runeword Issue Thread

I tried to make a 'White' wand for my necro on US East Ladder, shopped a 2 socket wand from Norm Drognan with my 82 Sin, and then socketed the Dol + Io in that order...this is for a summoner until I can get an Arm of Leoric or another good summoning wand, hence why I shopped with raise mage and raise skeleton mods

The original mods on the shopped wand were:

7% life stolen per hit
+2 Raise Skeletal Mage
+1 Raise Skeleton
50% Damage to undead
Socketed (2)

The only thing that happened after adding runes was:

7% life stolen per hit
+2 Raise Skeletal Mage
+1 Raise Skeleton
Hit Causes Monster to Flee 25% (from Dol)
+10 to Vitality (from Io)

50% Damage to undead
Socketed (2)

Did the 7% life stolen mod cause the issue or what could have been the problem?

7% life stolen per hit

That means it's a magical wand. You can only make runewords into white items
