Another damn introduction post.

Short Version:

Wireless Router = Awesome
FFXI = Nostalgia-riffic and great community, but way too slow.
WoW = Feh...
DII = Let's find out!

Also, I apparently exploded all of my old characters/mules, which sucks for me, especially since begging is weak. I've been looking at this and thinking that it enables me to be a better multiplayer in a non-Battle.net environment, so I'll give that whirl for now.

Soo.. Mr zoelef, i hope you enjoy your time here, we are all very nice and helpful peop..
*suddenly and violently attacks zoelef's shins until they resemble swiss cheese.*
Oh, and when you stop writhing in pain, tell us a bit about your real life, some of us wish we had one of those..

All too true. You have to admit, the time you did play was freakin awesome, though. About where did you get to?

I could manage up to just past the Valkrum Dunes before I decided to stop wasting my money hanging around for a pt all day.

Anywho. Welcome to the forums and stuff!

Got to around the mid-20s with a few jobs, and realized that it would take just...too...long...to do anything at that point. College + Job + FFXI > capacity, and FFXI was the least important.

So I bought WoW a few months later, like an idiot. That lasted a couple of months before I realized how much of a schmuck I was to buy it. Of course, now there's Guild Wars tempting me with its veritable Siren's Call...I may soon buy that once I can get it used on the cheap (read: a couple of months).

That's why I'm back playing DII now, as the 'distraction' for when I have < 2hours to burn between instances of need (job/college). When I have more spare time than that, I play poker.

W/ GW you'll have to buy an account. Once you start up the account is in your name at your e-mail, so unless you've got a friend whose got it and he doesn't want it, I'd recomend getting it new.

Anyway, Welcome! Enjoy these cookies and squid repelant. Have fun starting from scratch, ignore fb, and watch your language. Also check out the stickies, ATMA is a god send. (and obiviously the MP thread for TCP/IP games)

Yeah. I'm hopefully snagging a new Power Supply and Video Card soon, and I was gonna snag Guild Wars while I was at it.

MMO + Free = tempting.

Not to mention the whole not having to wait in line or spend hours trying to find mob that aren't already camped or trying to find a pt. Just go out and you get your own map. That's leet. Just leet.

Welcome!

Poker eh?

I love that saying ...

"In Poker they have a saying, if you can't spot the sucker in the first 30 minutes ... then you are the sucker!" :lol:

I get my Poker fill at the DVDTalk Poker forum (subforum of the Other forum).

While not a Poker-specific site it's got some interesting people there. Many of those guys go to Vegas on a regular basis thus the interest in gambling.
