    annoying enchanting

i was comparing my Leaf +2 enchant staff with using a perfect eldritch orb + lidless wall

eldritch+lidless adds more enchant dmg than leaf, but since leaf gives me a higher lvl enchant, it automatically overrides the other one.

    sorta annoying.

Ummm..I don't get it. Whatever you enchant with sets your enchant damage. It stays until it either wears off, or you enchant with something higher.

Maybe I just don't get what you're saying...

Enchant isn't like the Barb's bo. It stays at the highest cast level. Recasting resets the timer.

I think what he means is, with Eldritch + Lidless, he obtains a lower level Enchant but with higher damage (may be from higher level FM, or +Fire damage bonus from Eldritch).

But when using Leaf, he has higher level Enchant but the damage is lower. So when Enchanting, the high level one will overwrite the lower level one, though the lower level one has higher net damage. Yes unlike Barb there is no way to overwrite it back with a lower level Enchant and you have to wait for it to wear out, wait for a very long time :p
