    Animated Avatar - how?

Seems like the "search" function only brings up general avatar questions. But in what software can you actually create animated avatars? I know that it is possible to make rollover gif animations in Image Ready (Photoshop) and it worked for my website. However I can't seem to get the same thing working here (and loop).

    So..any help/hint would be apprechiated

I don't know bout that Image Ready stuff, but the animation needs to be compiled into a single gif file before you upload it anywhere. Basically all you need to find is something that'll string your (say..10) frames together. U-Lead Gif animator (available for DL from TuCows) is amazing. User-friendly too. 1 month free trial I think.

Just make sure the animation fits under the size limits.

If you've got ImageReady, just make your image thing, make sure the Animation toolbox is visable, and add frames as you see fit. You can set a delay, loop amount etc all in the Animation panel (window>animation).
Then just export it as an animated .gif
