...And Justice for all

The SOB NBA player Jayson Williams got away with cold blooded murder. I am so sick of celebs being above the law. Killing a limo driver with a shotgun is not an accident. The power of money is so sad.

You don't even have to be a celebrity, our justice system just lets some pretty big farts rip once in a while. Last April a friend of mine got shot in the back of the head at a cook out with 15 people watching and the guy got off for insufficient evidence.

I wish that I knew what kinds of suggestions to make about making our legal system a better one. I don't think that it sucks by any means, but it certainly has it's fair share of flaws. I suppose as long as legal systems are run by humans, they will always be that way.

Short of 1984izing America I really don't think there can be much if any improvement other than maybe speeding it up some. It's kinda hard for me to say that but I know I don't have any ideas that would fix the flaws without creating some other very serious flaws. The flaws I see are in place for our protection, so by necessity it's going to end up protecting the wrong people from time to time.

I agree with you Duped, and I think that's why I'm hard pressed to come up with suggestions. For the reason you say, that certain "fixes" or possible fixes might actually cause more problems than solve. It's hard to say for sure. All I know is that the legal system (in the U.S. and elsewhere) is quite complicated. It's most definitely beyond my grasp of full understanding.

its better than nothing.. the americans wouldnt take long to start a civil war without a government.
There are flaws in everything, though i think a better government would be better, abolish guns too

Freedom of the Media vs Right to Fair Trial.
