An Interesting Question...

I found an Eth Ginther's Rift. Since it has self repair, it is awesome. But the question is... what happens if I upgrade it to Elite. Will it remain Eth? Also, should I bother upgrading it, since I have elite weapons?

I found one myself a long time ago and wrestled with that same question. I did not upgrade, since i figured it would cost me an UM rune to do so, and I did not judge the upgraded version to be significantly better than the regular version. Top damage remains the same, but min damage increases significantly. You are better off upgrading rare ethereal dimensional blades that do not have the self-repair mod.

but ethereal ginthers is cool and a great intermediate weapon to take a melee character through nightmare. The level requirement when upgraded kind of takes it out of the intermediate range, in my opinion.

Do you know what the level requirement for the upgraded Ginther is?
