Alternative mf spots

I'm really sick and tired of running meph and andy over and over again. Are there any other good spots that my cold sorc can run around?

Ancient Tunnels, Pindle, Lower Kurast, Summonier (for keys) and Countess, if you have a good merc. You can also try nilah, but you have to be carefull

Also give Andy a try. With a good merc you can do Travincal, only one permanent cold immune and one other that spawns CI once in a while. The Pits are another area you can run, there are CI's here but I found my blizz sorc to be one of my best pit runners with a good merc.

Only do Andariel if you've triggered the quest-glitch bug (that is, once you've beaten the quest, only talk to warriv then head straight to Act II. You can talk to A1 NPCs later).

I wouldn't recommend the Chaos Sanctuary due to its many Cold Immunes and overall nastiness, but Diablo is a possibility. If you have the gear for it, you can run the WSK and pick up Baal on the way.

Only do Andariel if you've triggered the quest-glitch bug (that is, once you've beaten the quest, only talk to warriv then head straight to Act II. You can talk to A1 NPCs later).

You can talk to everyone in the camp, it doesn't matter. Just don't quit the game before talking to Warriv.

I wouldn't recommend the Chaos Sanctuary due to its many Cold Immunes and overall nastiness, but Diablo is a possibility.

As far as I've noticed, only Oblivion Knights are cold immune within the Chaos Sanctuary (and the FleshDemons/Spawners/whatever-the-hell-they-are are the only CI monsters in the River of Flame), so cold sorcs can do fairly well if you telebomb the OK's properly.


However, I agree that Chaos Sanctuary isn't a particularly great target... the random-boss density is lower than most other level85 areas, and Diablo has his drops capped at TC84. In my opinion, if you can run CS/Diablo safely, you can run WSK/Baal safely too - and the maps are usually smaller and Baal doesn't have a drop-cap.

I didn't even know about this. Is there any way for me to check? Maybe thats why andy has been giving me garbage drops.....

Pick up magic items she drops (make sure it is hers and not from a monster around her) and look for one that doesn't have double durability. If you do find one, Andy is not bugged.

As people said there are several categories of spots where you can mf:

NO cold immunes:
Andy
Ancient Tunnels(only champions can spawn randomly with CI)
Summoner(he isn't CI,monsters are so just tele to him.Also open the chests if you didn't find him in the direction you were going).
Meph
Pindle.
Cows(yes cows)

Spots with CI that can be easily cleared with a merc(mine has duriel's shell,Insight,Gaze total dmg 400-1600):
Countess(might take about 15-20secs)
Travi

Spots that can be cleared but take to long without a great merc:
Pit(those imunnes seem to have to much life for my merc to kill them fast enough)
Sanctuary(it doesn't even compare to the speed of a hammeradin).

Other spots:
Baal: Can be cleared quite fast if CI don't spawn in the chamber or if you don't get one of the 5 'heroes' CI.
Wsk: has it's share of CI,but i can't say how fast you can run it because i don't run it to often
Niktalah(or whatever his name is): Haven't done the quest so i can farm pindle some more so i don't know.

My Sorc runs are (in order):
Frigid
Meph
Summoner
Countess
Andy

If I'm lazy I'll just run Meph and Andy. So far I got the best drop from Meph which was a HR

Omg a HR from meph...Really low chances.

As for Frigid i preffer not to because all are CIs(although a good merc takes care of them fast,i think it is not fast enough).

I'm meteorb so I just cast meteor and run around like idiots. I have pretty high block instead of hp. My merc can tank usually anything
