All Fire Sorc little help plz

Hi this is my first post on this forum and i hope ill get a little response, cuz i cant understand why people are always saying that sorcs in one three stink and they are too weak for hell, but i find that with a nice merc its all possible.
I wanted to make a fire sorc with meteor and fireball and wanted to know the dmg with 9-10-11 skill points in all( offcourse firebolt is also full synergies are as important as any :xrollseye :xrollseye )

i wear half of tall , ammy belt and armor, shako occu lidless 2 bk4 ( couldnt afford sojs so i thought i get second best :lol: )

prereqs

that leaves me with +-20 points anyone know good investment for those ???? thnx in advance

Well if you want to go full fire than I suggest hydra since you have its synergies maxed out already.

You could use them as scouts by setting them in door ways in front of you.

If you want to go some other direction maybe a weak skill in another skill tree is best I suggest frozen orb or chain lightning. both require only a few skill points to be effective. They will not have enough to make them main killers but they both would be effective for helping your merc finish off FI's.

I would definitely invest one point in Hydra as a scout. Truly a one point wonder, there.

I would dump the rest into Frozen Orb or Thunderstorm, once again they won't be that powerful, but they''l definitely help you merc out.

It isn't worth investing points into another tree because 20 will get you hardly anywhere.

Instead I suggest using the points to maintain a defensive position. Energy Shield is effective with only 5 or so points in and will help a lot in hell when you have to get stuck in to static lightning immunes.

Personally, I'd get (and will get, just got into on-line play again and making a pure fire sorc, all my other chars expired):
Frost Nova: Multi purpose survival spell. +skills will boost duration "enough"
Enchant: To help meleers/bowazons and merc, more for the AR boost than fire damage.
Hydra: Scouting purposes.

After that. Will probably boost Static Field, Warmth and Armor.

Since you are an all fire sorc I'm assuming that you want to stay that way. You don't have enough points to make one skill in another tree effective so I'd go with Inferno. Not as a spell but as a synergy to meteor. Increases the burn damage after the meteor drops. With a good merc the monsters will be standing in the fire and take quite a nice amount of extra damage.
