Or just pony up the points to get the str up there. Shape Shifters don't need to be "min str" based characters. The pathetically low life per vita return on a Druid enables you to splurge a few points into str without losing too much life.
Now, about the "guide":
Why would you use ED jewels? Jagged Stars have crap damage, which is disappointing since Aldur's is a Melee Druid's wet dream

. Those jewels aren't going to do much. You're better of socketing for other things.
FC Synergies. Fissure + Volcano is superior to Firestorm + Boulder. In the rare situations that you need need crowd control Fissure will do it for you.
Max WB: Why? Aldur's has such crap damage that WB's ED won't add a significant amount. The reason Aldur's only really works with a FC Druid is because they don't need to rely on that crap damage to carry them through the game.
For the first 30-40 levels I'd actually play like a Fire Druid. That means saving points until you get to Fissure, then maxing Fissure and using the other saved points to pump FC, then pumping FC solely when the extra points run out. Fissure alone will carry you through Norm and a good chunk of NM and since you won't get access to your weapon until later it doesn't make sense to pour too many points into the SS tree.
Now for the gear:
LoH? I've already discussed Aldur's crap damage so we'll skip that part. I'd say BFist or Dracs if you find yourself in the middle of the pack taking a lot of heat. Even with crap damage Tap can save.
Highlord's: You don't need DS on this char, you'd be better off with a 2 Druid, life, res ammy. OIAS can be made up elsewhere if you really need.
Rings: I'd actually do a combination of Raven/BK. For PvM 10k AR is enough to hit anything consistently. FC offers made +AR on the attack so it's pretty easy to hit that mark. BK gives you some additional leech as well as +1 to skills for more life and damage.
I'm tired of typing (been writing a paper all day) so I'll leave it at that.
