Ain't no place for whiteys around here dawg!

The recent article about legendary crafting got me thinking so I checked. There's no white quivers on the AH at all, and I've never seen one. It's probably fair to say they don't exist and the lowest quality is magic. Same for orbs and mojos and jewelry. And yet, certain xpac crafting recipes require white items of these types.

Don't worry. Blizzard will realize it in less than a year and fix it in next expansion.

This makes you question if they really do have an internal QA team :D

Edit: QA dammit.

Sounds like a big. Wonder if anyone's reported it.
Given how many things I have pointed out and no one noticed probably not. Most of the "beta testers" are busy looking for exploits to get ahead in this single player non competitive game.

Well, yes, the bug is that the recipe would ask for an item type that doesn't exist. That's a bug.

Hehe, that's funny cuz I also worked in QA a long while back and I totally would've reported it as a bug! :)

Yah, I was a tester at EA in 2003-04. Anything that feel under that "Nope, that ain't right" category would get a bug report. Fun times!

QA people unite! Personally, I would call this an incomplete feature. Either way, this is worthy of a report. We "all" know what gets reported on those issue trackers anyway. :)

Honestly, though, the recipes should allow use of any item of the correct base type, not just a white one.
Didn't it use to work this way initially, despite the recipes always stating that they require a white item? The problem with this solution is that you can't see the name of your Rare and Legendary items, so if rarity wouldn't matter at all crafting could eat your precious loot. Specifying Magic items as an upper limit or as the actual requirement would work.
