AH Searching gripes. 3 fields...

Anyone else annoyed you can only search for 3 different stats?

Oh how convenient it would be if you could search for at the least 4.

For example:
Shield, as a typical inferno upgrade you'd be searching for: +% life, +Resist all, +vita, + block, +strength.
Resist all, you can't really NOT search for this if you plan to use the thing on inferno.
You can't sort by stat, so 5% bonus block is really a must to search for, unless you plan to filter through tons and tons of 10-15% block shields.
+%life or vit, without health you'll still get killed to quickly.
Strength, I'd rather search for it, but i guess its one of those things that you'll have to look and filter manually.

Rings n things, searching for damage somehow is bugged and grays out. T_T
so, you search for IAS, res all, strength,. then hope to find some good one with +dmg, and strength, sockets would be nice too.

Gah, so many good items you "could" search for that are really hard to find unless you scroll through pages upon page of junk you just can't use as an upgrade.

I guess it's limited to 3 for a few reasons:
* So people look through the junk and go "close enough" and bid on it.
* Reduce server stress
* Gives blizzard an option to upgrade it later and say "hey this is new and only in the expansion".

And don't even get me started on the horrible system for commodities... ugh.

Yeah it's pretty bad. Ever tried searching for the right quiver? Pain in the ..neck.
On the other hand having a lackluster search engine has helped some of us profit because we're better at dealing with its inefficiencies than most people.

I reckon it's about as difficult as finding a good shield
Especially as the more high end items get more readily available and show off 5-6 affixes, it's just frustrating to only be able to search for 3, and then tab, tab, tab all through pages of items.

I'm very disappointed that there isn't a boolean search feature. The search function we have is pretty terrible.

Yes I bet a lot less people would complain that the game revolves around the AH if the AH was easier to use. Having to spend less time browsing the AH would allow spending more time killing stuff and having more fun.

Yes please! Some advanced settings, more fields or a free search function. Anything is better then the current system.

I tried to upgrade my armor for the 51st time (All ress, Armor, Vita, Dex, 3 Sockets). Spent about 2 hours using different filters just to give up out of despair because I just couldent get all the stats to show up as I wanted.
Socketed items are especially hard to filter and it usually ends with me just picking something that is close to what I want just because I cant handle searching any longer for something that might or might not exist.

The way that socketed gems are rolled into their respective stat for the purposes of filtering is infuriating. It's just salt in the wound of how limiting only having 3 searchable fields is.

I'd pay in blood to just be able to download snapshots and run SQL queries against them. Of course, then the stuff I want would just be more expensive, as people with more time and drive would find them all first. Oh well.

You could always use the trading channels... or you could if bots didn't fill the entire chat window every time anyone else types even a single character.

Well,. everyone wants 10x more money for their item than it's worth.
And the trading channel tends to be near empty - if not completely devoid of life.
