In my experience, there isn't really anything you can do in a divorce situation about this kind of hearsay by the ex. The lawyers act like they care, but it's nothing the courts care about. Sure, ask your lawyer if there is anything you can do so your lawyer could be aware that she might (? doubt it) gather evidence to substantiate, but otherwise, I would just ignore it. I would focus on trying to prove that you are a fit parent. Take your kid to the dr. Dentist. Pick up from daycare. Prepare all the meals. Buy clothes. Go to play groups. Write it down. In essence, focus on you and your relationship with the kid...not what she's doing wrong. That's the only way you can "prove" you deserve custody.

Unfortunately, I think that rape can happen regardless of a person's marital status. It is an extremely stupid patriarchal law that would protect the husband. As a side note - I wonder how many states have a law of this nature, or how many provinces in Canada.

You haven't been in chat in months, you know a lot less about the situation than you think.

In the past you've accused Smeg of being a drunkard, something he doesn't do now. Though I think a lot of it what just the average Farker going overboard on how drunk he was.

You have accused him of not spending time with his kid, something he does as much as he can these days. He doesn't even get onto IRC until after the kid is asleep after being all tired out from beating Smeg at tennis.

Smeg has made some mistakes in the past, but at least he doesn't stay there and let them control him when everyone else has moved on. Smeg is a damn good father from what I can tell, he spends a lot of time with his son, he is involved in his community, and he isn't just going to roll over and let his ex take his child from him. She is being unreasonable and underhanded and Smeg is playing by the books, that is a hell of a lot more self control than I would have in the same situation.


EDIT: Damn, Donny and I are pedos? Why was I not informed of this earlier?

Smeg, nothing i can say that others haven't already said, but well done for trying to do the right things for your child, unlike her who is self-absorbed from the sounds of it...

Keep reciepts for purchases for the kid, clothes, sheets, school supplies, ...
Keep a record of house hold maintenance. Clean the gutters, change furnace filter
Keep a log of activities spent with the boy, went to the zoo, played at playground, went on a leaf gathering iding walk, ...

I've been 18 for a while now, the mohawk is pretty new though.

I have some really good jokes to add in here, but they would probably get me banned.

How tall is Donny's 'hawk? Mine is nine inches in the front, closer to 7 in the back.
