    ABC caves to political pressure

What's the matter? The truth hurt? Can't handle a little opposing view? Have to get it censored? Bunch of cowards. And we're supposed to trust these guys?

For those of you that still think a blow job isn't a big deal, think again. The Monica Lewinsky scandal had Pres. Clinton's panties in such a wad that he was able to use it as an excuse to not do his job. That's right. A hummer in the oval orafice I mean office and the lies surrounding it are a partial cause for the state of the world right now. I guess the personal lives do matter.

I dont see anywhere in the article which suggests the Clinton/Lewinsky scandal had anything to do with the rest of the issues brought up with the Clinton adminstration. Is Clinton partially to blame? probably, I still am not seeing any connection with the Lewinsky/Clinton scandal though:wink3:

    *Ignores Smeg's usual twaddle*

On the topic of the article, so what? It's not the first time I've heard that. Big deal, you could've taken out Osama; 9/11 hadn't happened yet.

If you're going to make a big deal out of "letting him go" (as I recall from a documentary I saw, it was going to be a highly risky operation anyway with no guarantee of success), how about the way the Bush Administration let the entire organisation go in order to fight a completely unrelated war in Iraq?

Well, it was unrelated until we turned it into a recruiting ground for Al Qaeda anyway. Just in case anyone is interested in the Forgotten War in Afghanistan, Taliban and Al Qaeda forces are resurgent and the occupying forces have recently had the bloodiest fighting since the initial overthrow. Large parts of the country are under Taliban or Al Qaeda control.

P.S. Anyone else remember George W. Bush saying that he wasn't that interested in capturing Osama?

Yeah, I remember when you made a similarly angry thread about the way that Reagan show got taken off the network and shunted over to Showtime.

Oh wait. I don't remember that. You didn't.

If it was a documentary or non-fiction release, I'd worry. But not when it's an admitted fictional drama.

Hence I've as much animosity now as I did when they cancelled the Reagan series.

    I could care less.

I try to not get my facts from non-accountable TV dramas.

The next time ABC wants to make such a film, it might behoove them not use the names of real politicians within fictional sequences on such a politically hot topic.

As long as it doesn't claim that Bush knew about 9/11 beforehand or that the international Zionist council is behind it, I don't really care. :|
