    A Very Noob Question

I know this is stupid, but I can't hold myself off asking it anyway. I'm playing a Paladin right now, Phillip the fanatic zealot...in 2 levels.
My really stupid question is: what do I do with the OB knights? Venegance does elemental damage additonally to the physical, right?
So, that would kill me IMed.
Have a bow on switch?...Which one if so? Please help. :)

    I have this same problem.

I used a Buriza through NM to good effect. I like the "ranger" style of character. But in Hell it takes way too many shots to kill anything.

I've tried 1 point in Vengeance, but I really have no idea how this skill works. It doesn't seem to kill anything. I hate it.

The best way I've found to kill OK's with any melee character is to walk right up to them and kill them right away.

Sounds easy? It is. They will usually override the IM curse very quickly if you stick around.

One point in vengeance without the help of conviction and/or massive +skill and/or extremely high damaging weapon is worthless because of ennemies high resist (especially OK)

I run baal with my fanat zealot, and i just reset the map if there are OK's down there, and generally avoid areas with OK's

    edit:
if you want to stay melee, get a wand with REALLY low damage and lots of elemental damage, that way you can zeal away with no risk of harm.

I have about 20 of those gimmeshreds, but thanks for the offer. :)
Tried them with my LF zon and I made more damage using her physical on the Titans.
Discarded that as an option then and there.
As you might guess, I'm more used to the ranged builds. :)

How about a WidowMaker...use the guided arrow? But then I could habe just build a ranger...I really want this to be a melee buil. :)

My current PvP'Er with widowmaker and lvl 27 fanatism deal around 400-1.1k dmg with a quite decent speed. It might be enough at p1-3 but don't expect miracle at higher players setting.

I ran into the same problem recently when I built my frost zealot...first meleer I'd done since classic D2. I just stand back and let my merc do the work. It takes a little longer, but it works.

I thought about putting a buriza or something on switch, but my merc took care of business. I'm using an Act 1 normal Rogue, BTW. Some frown on them, but she is an excellent compliment to my zealot.

Hmmm... I have patted a conc barb and am somewhere in hell with my IK barb (last time i played him was about 10 month ago), but those barbs have a skill for the OB knights, so no problems there. :)
I kind of don't want to use a bow,so the wand sounds best to me so far. Never thought about that, thanks!. :)

so far, all my OB knight expeiences have been like...stand back and shoot a lot...oh, merc is going down in health rapidly or oh, merc is dead...better go to town. :)
Or on the barb account...who cares, we have berserk..what do we need a merc for??

That is a very nice want..I want something like that :)
