A simple question on magic find!

I think I have a fairly good understanding of how the drops happen and %MF changes things however in none of the guides I can find does it explicitly mention the following:

Does MF increase the amount of Charms you find?
Does MF increase the amount of Jewels you find?
Does having 0 MF increase the amount of Gems you find?

The drops I get of those items using 0MF and 450MF are random enough that I can't quite tell just by trial and error.

    1. No. (only if it will spawn unique, and only affects grand charms)
    2. No. (only if it will spawn unique or rare)
    3. No.

Please show me at least one guide leading to misunderstanding.
MF stands for increasing chance to find magic item.
Whenever item spawns, there's some chance for it to be unique. It unique check failed, there is set, rare and magic checks. MF increases probability to pass this check for item to be more lickely unique/set/rare, than magic/white (some drops can never be non-magic (white) however).
MF does not increase amount of items and stuff you see dropped, it just changes their 'color'. Nor jewels, charms or runes are affected by MF. You will still have more gheed's fortunes and fainbow facets with high mf rather than low, but for the cost of blue ones.

I wasn't suggesting that any guides had lead me to misunderstanding, they just hadn't explicitly explained those things.

Thank you DJ that is what I had thought but I would hate to be wrong and I just wanted to have someone confirm it.
