A question regarding neg resistance weapons.

Hi

If a sorc is using a cresent moon sword that has - resist to lightning, does that affect kick in if she is uses lightning spells. Or, does it only work if she uses the sword to strike a monster?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Yes, it does work, you do not need to swing the sword to strike an enemy. Same with Griffons.

"-%something resist" and "+%something damage" is a "global" property of your char: it's not attached to a particular spell or item, but works with all your attacks.

It will NOT work for minions (such as mercs) or party members.

Only the merc when he hits something with his weapon.

Traps and golems are also considered as minions.

If a barb used two deaths webs would that be -50% for each weapon hit or -100% total?
