A question of nomenclature

Cockroaches. Why do we call them COCKroaches?

So go google/wiki it for me. Or just make it up. (Bonus points: put your made up reason on wikipedia)

I'm gonna go try and study physics, which has absolutely no relation to these demon-bugs.:prop:

Google's little blurb from Wikipedia.com said:
The English word cockroach is derived from the Spanish cucaracha, meaning "chafer, beetle".
Blamoo for Google and Wikipedia. I'm still waiting for a type of google search that does Wikipedia...they have Google News, Google Video...all we need is Googlepedia. That'd be awesome...

The avatar is probably part of it. Of course, it might be your five-figure post count...

But that guy is kinda scary...(I'm leaving "guy" vague enough to be applied to your 'tar or to you yourself...).

So the best explanation so far is that cockroaches are somehow related to chickens.

Cockatrice comes to mind :prop:

I remember my 3k-4k took like a day and a half, and I've been at 43xx for like 18 years now.
You and your spamming cockroach army ehh?

You DID kill them all right?
