A question about a pure bonemancer

I've only ever played Summoners before and decided that I'd rather try something new for MF as opposed to a Blizz Sorc. Part of the issue is that I like to jump into the fray as much as possible and find standing around while others do my work boring after awhile.

Anyway, I've seen in several places that when dealing with the poison/bone tree it's often wise to go with one route.. plus I plan on using the character as my primary MFer. I just want to know if it's a wise choice and if so.. what are some tips? I haven't seen any pure bonemancer guides but I could just be blind as a bat.

The only thing I'm not sure of is how I should arrange my stats.

Str 85

Vit Everything else (as always)

NRG base? 50? 100?

I'm not worrying about block since I plan to use this char as a MUCH COOLER looking Hammerdin (in terms of relying on magic attacks).

I'm just never certain about the NRG. >.<

if your purely PVM based, a few points into energy could never hurt, 50 should be sufficent, if you have mana problems, try using sojs/mana gcs/scs + mana items

Wow!!

Okay, well I've been playing with my Bonemancer and he's only level 20 but I LOVE THIS GUY! He's still a little weak but I can only imagine what he'll be like once I start pumping up synergies. Necros were always my fave class and I think this might be the first char. ever that I might even see past lvl 85.

And thanks for writing a very insightful guide, soullesschild.
