a newb question..
i often see something like 40/15 IAS.. can anyone tell me what it is
there are two jewels refered to as 40/15's.
One is 40% Enhanced Damage with 15% Increased attack speed.
The other is a 40/15 max, 40% Enhanced Damage with +15 to maxmum damage.
Hope that helps!
thanks m8.. :buddies:
but what puzzles me is that people value this an awful lot.. cant see why..
Cos if you have a 4 socket armor and you stack 4 jewels, you have 160 ED and 60 IAS.
And if you have a 3 socket helm, 120 ED 45 IAS.
Since they're jewels they have same effect socketed in any piece of equipment.
FYI, 40/15s are considered duped items and can't be traded in the trading channels/trade values forums. Not saying that you are doing that right now, I think what you're doing now is fine, probably good in fact, just pointing it out so that you don't.
okie.. never came across that myself.. and wont trade it if i come across one.. thanks for the info.. :buddies:
Does that mean if I lucked out and found a 40/15 ias, i can't get anything for it cuz everyone will think it's a dupe?
Hmm.... no its not that its not worth anything, but its not worth as much as it would be due to the fact that there are so many duped versions of it out there.
You could probably get more if it was a 39/15 oddly enough...
Ppl still want it but based on demand and supply your hypothetical "should be very rare" item isn't as rare anymore.
But you would have to trade it on bnet as they're not allowed here, good luck to you doing that..... lol...
Yes. Some people claim that certain colours aren't duped etc, but bottom line is there are thousands of duped jewels, not a single soul will believe you find yours. And there are also some 39/15 duped, although only certain colours and only a very limited amount. (I once almost traded with a guy who offered 10*39/15, all the same colour)
39/15's are just as massly duped as 40's. All colors.
Didn't take too long before people realized they had more potential trading with something just slightly altered
