A long introduction 
Hello, people.
Name's Robert, 25 yrs old, living in Croatia, currently but not for much longer a student of maths and computer science (*watches people screaming and running away*). I enjoy good books (SFnF mostly), good music, and an unhealthy ammount of time spent on computer games.
I consider myself a Diablo veteran by play time, if not by achievements Started with Diablo I, continued with CD2 and LoD, played for years and years. I enjoy the making of characters, planing skills and stats and equipment, sometimes more than actually playing the game... so as a result I have a really big number of really low level characters, poor darlings. Furthest I got was Hell act 1 with a spear-using Amazon a REALLY long time ago, and she couldn't cut it there so I just returned to my poor horde of low lvl chars queveing in front of River of Flame After a long time of Diablo inactivity caused mostly by Morrowind, a link titled LoD 1.10 caught my eye somewhere on the net... and thus it began all over again.
Of course, none of my poor darlings could cut it. Low level, low gear, most of the time chars based on coolness not efficiency (I still say Sorcs look really cute with a two-handed sword) caused the timely demise of my whole saved games folder.
So what does one do when in doubt?
Visit forums.
Read the guides, changes, recommendations, downloaded ATMA (Fell in love with a girl/I fell in love once and almost completely...) but most of those I found began with something like "Shako, Oculus, SoJ, Stormshield..." Gee. To make a great char all you need is to equip him/her with all the top line uniques and runewords. Thanks a lot, I'd never guess.
By the way, I never played on battle.net since I'm a) physically unable (baaaaaad phone lines) b) I really hate 1337 attitude. And language. If something's great, it's great, it does not r0x0r and I never play Hardcore since I love my poor darlings way too much for that. So there. A few times I played in a LAN were quite a different story...
Anyway, on my search for ideas I noticed the riot about fishymancers. Now, I always liked necromancers' image, but not the play style, and most of those I made looked great but did squat. And as far as I could recall, those with a horde of minions were worse (the minions used to be as effective as a bunch of grannies beating stuff with handbags) But, what the hell. Enter Leoric, the Skeleton King (yay for originality)
In half an hour, I was sitting with my mouth open.
In one hour, I was cackling gleefully. Bye, Diablo, the new Lord of Terror is in town!
To cut this long rant short, as I'm sure you're all familiar with 1.10 Skeleton King's prowess in sitting back and enjoying the slaughter, Leoric is now level 73, about to face NM Ancients, and he's been a blast. I am using him to lay the groundworks for my future chars, since it's a lot easier to plan with a nice piece of gear in the stash. And the RNG has been kind to me, too. Did about 10 NM Mephisto runs (like a walk in the park with this guy. Or rather, a walk in the Durance of Hate. Same thing) and I got some really nice stuff (Shaftstop! Blackhand Key! BWAHAHAHAHA!!! Sorry if I seem ecstatic, but I never had an exceptional unique before). I even found an infamous Stone of Jordan. In a basket. In Kurast. Go figure.
Anyway, here's some questions fot the experienced folks
1) Can one make shield runeword with shrunken heads? A Rhyme with +3 to Revive would be sweet...
2) Found a Hone Sundan for my merc (currently using Hwanin's Justice and making my poor level 23 barbarian green with envy) and it has 3 sockets, so I was wondering what to stick in it? Amns? Shaels? Perfect Emerald to help with the regenerating buggers? No end to the possibilities... He seems to be doing quite enough damage, so is sticking in +dmg stuff a waste?
3) Is there an easy way to dump data from ATMA in a text file? I have a load of gear I'll never use that's sitting in ATMA and waiting for an owner... If anyone's in need, I'd like to stick a list in that trading thread earlier
4) about unique rings.. I read before thet in order to find a Manald Heal you had to have a Nagelring in your equipment, and so on. Does it still count, and is it same with amulets? (seems so since I found Nagelring-Manald Heal-SoJ, and Nokozan Relic-Eye of Etlich in that order)
