About your questions:
1) Yes, you can.
2) I'd do as LprMan says and stick AmnAmnShael in there. That'll give your merc nice life leech and speed. If you can spare the runes you can always upgrade that baby for more damage.
3) Utilities -> Dump full info / Dump partial info. If you go with the Partial Info option you can then use FARA to generate a nice HTML list which you can upload and brag with. You can get FARA at http://atma.diabloii.net/spf/
4) That info is not true anymore in 1.10 even though it was in earlier versions. I think that was even before 1.09, though. So you can get any Ring / Ammy any time. I even managed to gamble Seraph's Hymn! :cheesy:

I love weird underpowered characters and there is nothing wrong with choosing equipment and skills just for looks and style. Sorceresses are indeed cute with a two-handed sword. Same with a polearm. My Alphabet Tournament sorcie used Dimoak´s Hew (Bardiche) all the way through act 2. Gotta love that look, a weapon much taller than she is.
BTW, nice finds! I have only seen one Shaftstop and one The Stone of Jordan, never a Blackhand Key.
