    A goodbye of sorts

I knew this time was going to come, but it's for a different reason than most.

I work in the financial markets in a trading room and our desks are right on top of each other. I've been fortunate for the last few years to sit in the back row with the window right behind me. Most people couldn't really see what I was doing. On Monday my job moves from NYC to Greenwich, CT and my desk is right in the main row and even right by the door into the trading room. My job is way too important to me to get fired over any forum and I can't risk people looking over my shoulder. I've already deleted all the D2 websites from my favorites. Hence, I won't be able to post on any regular basis.

You'll see me around a bit, I'm sure, as I'll still play the game and maybe will post from time to time. Hey, you might even find me in an MP game. But it hasn't been my habit to post at night - that's my family time and play time.

Good luck to you all and thanks for all the fun,

    TYG

Job more important than D2 forum? *thinks*

Warning, Nightfish has encountered a critical error and must close. Please restart the application and contact your supplier if the problem persists...

Okay, seriously now. :) Well, good luck with your job and all! ...and yeah, it's definetly a good idea not to get fired over a forum.

A really wise decision! We completely understand you :) Good luck with the job and now get yourself a promotion so you get your own office which means more forum time :)

Congrats on being promoted, but that does suck that you won't really be around anymore.

Ah well, good luck with your new job. Perhaps as FB said, you'll be promoted and have your own office one day.

D2 is a game ... life is life. Even more so because you have a family because you become responsible to them too ... which means you have to keep your job = income = putting food on the table and clothes on your back.

Take care and drop by once in awhile.

Yup - I think you got it right. I'll definately stop by. But I don't think I'll be in the daily's, MFO's, etc... When I find that Tyreal's and Zod (in one drop of course), I'll be sure to let all you guys know.

    Cheers :drink:

Well, consider yourself fortunate for having something finally to draw you away from the addicting game (although not completely, I see, from your last comment  ).

See this is why I left the work force to work for myself from home. I don't have to worry about what I'm doing in between sketching designs, cutting, grinding, foiling and soldering. Not that I'm saying you need go haring off yourself, but you defintily need the family time, so you will be missed.

Technically, he never said it was a promotion. I think he got demoted for looking at porn while at work, so they kicked him out to Connecticut, and since he's already had the porn scandal, he can't risk a D2 scandal as well. How's that TYG, closer to the mark?

Anyway, I hope the new job is great for you, and of course you'll be welcome back here all the time.
