Am I the only one to find it strange that diabloii.net hasn't addressed the recent "rust storm upgrade" on West ladder? I'm aware that Blizzard hasn't put out any official word on this, but I'm very sure that enough of this page's readers have written to them about their woes that would warrant some comment from diabloii.net.

I've been wondering myself. But I think the reason of this not being put on the site is that all that exists now are people telling that they have lost runes/runewords. Noone is sure exactly why they've disappeared, and noone can be sure it's due to Rust storm either. There's a lot of speculation and rumors going on as well.
I think much people would appreciate at least a "no, we didn't do it" from Blizzard. So, yup, this is strange.

diabloii.net hasnt been updated in a while, its not what it used to be where it would be updated every day, teh fotd is like 2 weeks old, i am not that surprised that they havnt posted anything about it

Yup. How about Blizzard making some kind of program people could use to prevent dupes/hacks? They will break their own rules though... But would spare them some work, yes?

Hey Fearox, I have an eth Impaler I could sell ya :uhhuh: ... but seriously, after each cd-key banning and with the rust storm Blizzard announced their actions, why not now? Are they trying to pick ideas out of people's conspiracy theories? It doesn't make sense, hence my bit o' frustration :grrr:

Maybe the storm's ongoing. No need to announce it again if it hasn't left from the first touchdown. Most likely:
a) Some change in the way they detect duped runes
b) Just popping em at random to keep ppl on their toes
c) Precision rune-zapping

The people at Diabloii.net are probably busy with more important things. Why announce something that hasn't been confirmed, when its already been unofficially announced by several members in the forums?

I think its just people being stupid and putting runes in the wrong way or deleting them with hel rune. Just my opinion.

Not everyone that plays D2 read any forums, so that doesn't make sense. And LOL at Nordic, I can confirm that I definitely didn't put in the runewords the wrong way since I played with them on long before they disappeared, and ya can't delete items with the hel recipe; people's runewords who poofed didn't have just the runes leave, the whole item did (although I have heard of people with items like Jahed or Bered shakos have only the rune disappear, leaving an empty socket; nontheless, I don't think they made the rune disappear on accident).

Ya, my COH and Enigma poofed, so I figure they had bad Bers in them. Yet, my BOTD and Beast survived.
