a couple of class specific item questions

    1. If you imbue a class specific item with already existing mods, do the mods remain?

    2. If you do the 3 Pgem recipe to reroll magic items, can they gain class specific +skills?

    1) The +skills are rerolled, IIRC.

    2) Sorry, don't know the answer to this one, you'll have to wait for an answer from someone who does.

I'm pretty sure the answer to 2) is yes.

    1) No the mods do not remain when you imbue. You get a new rare item of the same type.

I believe so, yeah. I wouldn't use an imbue on a class specific item though; a little too random for me. I prefer to imbue boots, gloves, belts and ethereal dimensional blades.

i figure it's a crap shoot anyway (you either get good mods, or you don't), so I usually try to imbue the item I need the most.

    1. Nope they get rerolled (answered already but what the hey :D )

    2. It depends on the magic item, if the base magic item can get staff mods, then you can roll them yes.

actually, class-specifics are great for imbuing as they get a slight bonus to the level of staff mods they can get and have a better chance of those skills being +3 than a normally found one.

I agree with HBB. The only way you can get rare class-specific items are through imbues or just picking them up. You can always gamble(or craft) for more gloves/boots/belts.
