A couple "new to necros" questions

i want to make a poisonmancer/poisondagger necro (havent decided if i want to stab stuff yet ) anyway, heres my questions;
1.) When u cast poison nova multiple times, does the dmg stack everytime? Does poison dagger stack too?

2) If i went poison dagger route, would i want to stick with blackbogs or go with somethin like the fleshripper

3) What areas in the game do i need to watch out for immunes (i never payed attn to poison immunes before)

4) Can a poison mancer survive (and kill stuff efficiently) in hell without "super expensive" gear in your opinion? I have this stuff to wear;
Blackbogs (or fleshripper)
+2 necro circlet
highlords wrath ammy (cant find a +3 pnb ammy, noone trades em)
Vipermagi
Trang shield, belt, gloves
manald heal rings, dwarf star (yes, i know, im weak in most jewelry :( )
waterwalks (dont know what to use here)

5) lower resist can remove immunes right?

k, thats all i need to know for now.... i think :scratch:

plz help with Helpful ! advice

for Poison Immunes, i usually use attract or dim vision and run away...but i'm only on A1 in hell.

poison novas dont stack

you could also go seletons max RS and SM 1 in loweresist and resist in poison skills, the skellys kill find with just RS and SM and poison can just help out your fighting army

necro's attract makes nearby monsters attack the cursed monster, making the cursed monster attack back at the nearby monster, leaving you alone.

you should try it on wraiths, it looks like the 2 monsters forgot about you and go kissy-kissy. :evil:

have fun in maggots lair hell :)

i would use plenty of AI curses for thsoe immunes, a good merc helps too, and never forget gumby.

the poison/dagger mancer i play (not mine, but friends) uses hoto with blackbogs sharp on switch. if u chose pure daggers, i would hvae fleshripper and blackbogs because fleshripper has CB for thsoe nasty bosses.

ur equipments decent, not ideal, but its ok

lower resists...i wanna say yes to your answer, but i cant remeber...

lets wait for MM:)

1) As said before, multiple nova's do not stack. They just reset the timer on the poison duration back to 2 seconds.

2) It depends on what you want form the Daggermancer. The Blackbogs is very good for boostiong the damage form your Poison skills. The Fleshripper has excellent melee mods and is well suited for physical damage. So use Blackbogs when you want better poison damage and use a Fleshripper when you want that extra melee kick against bosses or poison immunes.

3) You should check the monster stats on the Arreat Summit and an alternative page like d2data.net. IIRC all the undead are poison immune.

4) You have three part Trang's so that should give you a nice boost. You can survive and kill with that equip. It will be slower than with uber equipment, but it won't be impossible.

5) Lower resist can remove immunities. Keep in mind that it only works at 1/5 of its power when trying to break an immunity. So while a level 20 LR gives you -62% Enemy Resist All, it can only break the immunity of a monster with 111% or less.

... and here people were wondering why I listed 'Attract' as one of the prime curses in my 'Cupid'-theme build. :thanks: :bow:
