a channel for the community?

Is there a channel where legit players from this forum hangout at to trade/chat/help each other out? Im sick of hanging out in channels spammed by bots.

I play uswest fyi

I'm not familiar with such a channel, but if one were to exist, I doubt it would be spam/scam free. Spam bots and scamers would find it and maybe take advantage of the fact that people think it might be safe to trade there.

Public afk chat has been there for atleast 3 years, I have yet to see a scammer/spammer there. And yes I would know since I rule that place, I'm the king there :smug:

There's sometime people in there*, but not always, there will be especially few in the middle of the night on a weekday. :whistling:

Gorny probably meant "the void" and if you expected to meet somebody there, it was one of Gorny's pranks :azn:. Try it...

"The void" is a channel which is created in separate for everybody. It's useful for sending and receiving whispers in peace. I set it up as my default channel.

The AFking possibilities are amazing. Idling endless hours in tranquility. Also you may observe Finnish people. Or just wait till the paladin to your left exits so you can take the number 1 slot.

Lately I think there has been a higher number than usual, but I'm not sure. Maybe it's just because some have parked two afk chars at the same time ^^

Some time ago we had I think it was 16 people in this channel! If you want proof just have a lookie in the OT thread @ ETF... I posted a screenshot to make it official! It should be easy to find cuz it's just like a 31k post thread ^^

to make is simple

create a new text file, paste this in it

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Blizzard Entertainment\Diablo II]
"Default Channel"="The Void"

change "The Void" to "desired channel name here" (with the quotes)

and save it as
d2 default channel.reg
then open it to import
