Vorbiss this could be very helpful to people who are not exactly sure how many items you can actually find from the pit. But you should also list your mf% and equip, what build you use as well as how long it takes you to do a run.

Oooops, I kneew I was forgetting something! :teeth:
All the runs were made with my Hammerdin, on players 8, with ~525% MF.
One run takes me around 9 mins on average.(slow, but I don't leave a monster behind)

EDIT: SnakeEye85: By usefull, I meant "extremely rare high end items/extremely tradeable items". ;) I have at least 5 Skins, I'll give em away after I collect the Grail(without tyrael's, duh!), just like Fishy did.

Interesting info: I collected almost 10 million gold while doing those runs!

hehe yeah i know the feeling....i have more of those armors than i can put on each finger on my both hands.....

they are very common and not worth anything, but VERY usefull for lots of chars/mercs since the lvl req is so low :)

understand what you meant!

Nice Vorbiss... Now what I would really like to see is after you get to 100 runs is a comparison between 100 Pit runs on Players 8 to 100 Baal runs on players 1 (somebody already made this list). This way I can get an idea for which is better for trying to acquire those upper level uniques.

I'm at about 430 items in my self found grail and am slowly getting to the point where Meph runs will no longer be needed. If I could get that comparison it would help me decide where to run for those upper level items.

edit: I figure time running wise would be equal so that shouldn't factor in, meaning on average 100 p8 pits runs should take as long as 100 p1 Baal runs.

but sincere that depends on what char you use to make the runs.

my hammerdin is much much faster on averange on players 1 then on players 8

How have you noticed that? :xeek:

It was Bloodtree Stump, error in coloring.
Because I know there's no set War Club :p

Useful item btw, best used for Iron Golem methinks.

I agree Wolfie, but my Pally can do a full clear Players 8 Pit run in about 7-9 minutes and he can do a Players 1 Baal run in about 8-10 minutes average. So the time for me is barely if any different. So I just care about the finds people have in 100 runs.

Do you mean that your hammerdin is much faster on p1 in Pit??

I just did some Pit runs with mine, and Pit on p8 is a joke. With 400% MF I can quite easily clear that place in 6-7 mins

or you can do as me

first on players 8 eldrich-shrenk-pit(full clear)

then switch to players 1 and run the wsk and kill baal

sure it take more time but its not as dull after a while and you can find some great stuff

Vorbiss,

One question comes to mind on this----Were the 50 Pitt runs done on the same map seed or did U reroll it a few times???

Why would that matter?

Ah well. My 200 Baal runs are gone now :bonk:

Someone else do another.
Dang!!! They would have been helpful... If I can find the time, I may just try it so we can make the comparison.

While there is some conjecture as to how well it works; there is a belief that changing the mapseed (by switching difficulties, or opening an MP game), changes the root numbers used when rolling for drops, thereby affecting which items drop, if not necessarily the chance for green/gold items. I have never studied it, but I would always change maps when doing Hell Meph runs to get a better physical map...I suppose I have felt better about some maps over others, but I have never done any research to make a definitive opinion.
