    For a pure trap build 2 claws and block rules.

    If you go with c/c, be sure to have a teleporting switch or you'll be going horridly slow and dangerous.

    Don't bother with c/c if you have plain +3 trap claws.. thats really weak. Players use c/c for the 2/3 trap boost. If you're building on a budget and good trap claws are out of your budget then use spirit/stormshield for a block build or hoto/spirit for a vita build, you'll benefit more from the fcr and fhr, and the skill difference isnt that large from plain claws. w/s will result in a much better build than using 2x plain +3 claws.

    Is the FCR really that helpful? I play trap/kick hybrid and I never seem to have much use for FCR.

    Yes. I used the 27fcr bp on my pvm kick/trapsin kicking with stormlash/ss and had a spirit switch to hit the 65fcr bp. Coming from being a pvp player I see fcr as essential on assassins as it is essential in pvp, however I recognize you can "get by" a pvm build with 0 fcr and still have a successful build for going through pvm, Ive always found it easier and faster to pvm with some fcr.

    With teleport its a big boost in quick mobility and merc/shadow stacking, on builds without teleport its still worth it because it always helps to mindblast a little faster when you need to get monsters off you asap. Same use for cloak of shadows. fcr is just good for assassins, any build every build.

    In reference to the FCR side bar, I find that a high FCR is addicting. I feel like I'm playing in slow motion when my trapper isn't using BOS for fast trap laying and running speed, or high FCR for tele/mb. Can you get by without it, sure, I just don't want to anymore. :)

    That's interesting, good to know. My current build doesn't use tele or MB. The only shadow casts I'm using are Burst, cloak, master, and Fade if I'm going after uber Meph. I guess FCR would give me less chance of being interrupted on cloak, but most of the time I'll cast it before I get totally overrun.

    whats the technique for doing nihiltak for dkeys? (as a trapsin)

    also - whats a good set of budget gear I could get that would make it possible to do him? (that sounds wrong =P)

    As a trapsin, you would most likely use Death Sentry. Place the traps in the middle of the group of Nila's mobs and watch them go "SPLASH!!". :thumbsup:

    For an extremely safe, maybe even overly safe, run of nilly I usually do the following:

    - make sure I have maxed fire res, maybe +max or absorb on top
    - make sure I have high FCR/FHR for tele
    - make sure I put up a shadow master (In this case the extra mind blast is good)
    - tele to nilly
    - find a 'safe' corner of the room (safe is relatively clear and opposite from any snakes)
    - cast cloak
    - lay 5x ds. (I like maximum corpse popping)
    - start lobbing fire blasts (unless nilly is FI)
    - collect loot

    I rarely use a juv on the run - and high FCR/FHR allows me to save merc from dying to snakes unless I get a really bad distribution.

    That said, it can be done with more MF/GF if you are willing to use fade and can be done without max res if you are willing to sit in the hallway just outside the room and lob traps in to the corner of his room.

    Mind blast is also useful to keep the minions in place.
