    2v5 Help.

    Hello

my friend and i will be making 2 chars mostly for dueling pubs untill we get good then we might start 2v2 duels.

For a good 2v5 setup i was thinking somthing like:
    Windy/Smiter
    Windy/Trapper

But then i thought of a regen char for pub duels:
    HybridZon/AmbulanceDin

what are yout thoughts on duels with 2vX duels?
please help me and my friend get ready

regen charger than max es blizzer or something? she will be unkillable.
zons needs to be complmented with high life buff char to be good, or at least someone who can protect her while she deals damage.
    Windy/trapper for me tho.

    Re: 2v5 Help.

you need to search for what people use, but there is no real guide specifically dedicated to one. you can find general idea in pvp guides (under blizz sorc there is a mention about one)
generally aim for max TK, decent res (not needed with high ES prebuff but i like having good res. it helps), good life (1K+) good mana, whilst hitting necessary bps. using prebufs you can reach something like 90%+ ES, while maintaining 10K+ blizz @ aroiund lv 90 ish

Wind Druid / Bone Nec works really well in BM pubs.

one of the chars is going to be a regen charger since i will be playing with my dad, he needs something fairly simple but i need to find any build that will work well and i think Es Sorc will be the best.
as for Es pvp sorcs go, is blizz best for pubs?

    Re: 2v5 Help.

A blizz sorc tends to be better in pubs since it takes either amazing charms or specialized gear to sorb/stack them compared to say a fireball sorc where your enemy can simply put on hotspurs. Most people you duel in pubs won't bother to switch or won't have the gear to deal with the a maxed out blizzard.

    Re: 2v5 Help.

Well, ive always found that blizz sorc's arent terribly hard to use. Blizz/tele/spam a couple ice blast/tele/blizz, etc etc. Now building a good one takes a bit to get together, especially since Fathom's really bring out a lot of power. Not to mention getting nice gear to make ES work well takes some wealth to put together imo.

I think the easiest char your dad is going to play with will more than likely be a sorc class. Just avoid any hybird builds for him lol, they take hot keys and a lot of practice to be made worth wild.

    Re: 2v5 Help.

So your plan for 2v5 is to have your dad play blizz sorc while you heal? You realize that means your team will only have one source of damage, and most players hostile to the both of you are going to gear up vs blizz sorc with stack/sorb.

    Not a very good team.

    Re: 2v5 Help.

well charge can still do damage and aply pressure while blizz will mainy do damage and charge is backup for the strays that run away.

what do you think is a good team then, nust be one simple char for my dad

    Re: 2v5 Help.

Wizadept is right u will just be like those failed pub teams that u see get pked in a 1 vs 4 situation....

u need a reliable sorc of dmg as once someone comes geared up vs the sorc and all ur doing is healing its not enough, for example a bvc can counter both setups 2 ravens + resboots + thawing pot stack make a bvc with 7k + hp and dr a > better than ur team as ww>charger he will go fro u first then its standard sorc vs barb...

maybe a charger weap with the healing insight and smite with grief on secondary and let sorc bo you would work better this way u can heal and still have a reliable source of dmg, i.e smite vs some tricky apponments and charge vs some casters or low hp chars..

    Re: 2v5 Help.

i think the easy solution would be to make a max leap bvc (with bcombs) + some caster (nec is probably best). your dad can spam short leaps and keep most enemies at bay, while you can pick them off from a distance (or kill the ones that get caught in leap).

if your dad is like my dad, the most you can rely on them to do in a dueling sense is to spam leap. i think trying to get them to tele/ww or even nl would be asking way too much.

    Re: 2v5 Help.

I wouldn't even worry about the bcombs. I made an lld leap barb for teams this last ladder, and with a little plus skills (which a high level bvc would have plenty of) and maxed leap, you'll be able to cover more than a screen with knockback.

If you play offensively and run up (in this case you'll have access to tele) and leap next to people, you can force them into recovery just long enough for a train of spirits your team's necro has been casting to catch up. TienJe's suggestion could be a lot of fun.

    Re: 2v5 Help.

the reason why i suggest using bcombs is because in a 2v5 situation, i don't think a screens leap is enough to prevent the opposing team from "breaking in". when a din charges or a barb tele/wws, they will be able to cast right next to you if your leap is only a screen's length (or at least get close enough to break up your formation). with 2+ screen leap, they can't even get close enough to teleport into range. it'll make your job in an outnumbered situation much easier. we used to run bcomb leap babas in teampks, and they were quite annoying for the pursuing team. =p

p.s. i would probably refrain from playing offensively, just because usually parents aren't very good at computer games =p

    Would a BvA be better?
how much radius is 2+ screens?
