2H Oath for ww?

What are some opinions from experienced wolf makers on how a 2H highland blade Oath weapon would work on a werewolf? I would assume it would be really fast- but I havent made a werewolf before. Am i better off making the Oath, or getting some other unique like tomb reaver? Also - should i go 1 handed. This will be strictly for pvm too.

if it would be better to go 1H oath- what weapon?

go oath feral or oath balrog blade if your going 2 handed.
eth zerker if your 1handed iirc.

well, i can get a highland blade oath that is already made by a friend. whats the downside of the highland blade compared to those others? I could make my own oath though if i needed to- if i did that, would you suggest 1H so i could use a shield too ? or go 2H for more dmg?

2 handed swords are pretty much never used as they tend to be very slow. I would also use a feral axe if you want 2 handed or zerker one handed.

Like Beowulf said, 2h swords are slow even when shifted. Stick to polearms, mauls or 2h axes for shapeshifters.

okay, so no to the hb oath. So, i think i will look for these then: feral axe, zerker axe (good luck to me :( ), or cryptic axe (just heard this works well). Those good choices then?

Ya those are fine though for a polearm I prefer great poleaxe over the cryptic.

okay thanks for all the help. one more question though. :D If I were to be making a werebear instead of werewolf, would I need to look for the same weapons for oath? what would be better for a bear than a wolf?

I just really cant decide bear or wolf yet :( :(

I would say you would be alot slower with a werebear then a werewolf, with a oath. I dont play werebears very offten so if I am wrong sorry man.

For a werebear you only real choice is a phase blade in the end it really depends on how fast you want to swing. 2-handed something like a feral axe might still be decent on a bear but it all depends on what you can bear. Pun intended.

Hello, I seem to find answers to my old Qs posted in other threads. Can anyone tell me if the 150% extra damage bonus to demons on axe weapon really exists? I mean, that's the reason why I chose axe over sword and polearm in the first place. And right now at bnet, runeword polearms are mostly for mercs since ethereal. and there are a lot more barb players than fury druid so I see a lot more runewords swords, too. I picked feral, silver-edged and champion axe because they all hit pretty fast with Oath. Correct me if I am wrong but feral and champion axes seem to hit the same frame. Silver-edged axe is a bit slower. Should I really do further research to see the damage over time for these 3 axes? Or should I just go for feral axe although it's min damage isn't too great. I am just playing the game for fun, don't want to overkill on stats. I alternate IK, laying of hand, and dracul for gloves.
