2012 Summer Olympics

Only minutes away: the 2012 Summer Olympics bid result......

Which of the 5 cities will it be?

Madrid, London, Paris, Moscow or New York?

I'm guessing Paris.....

David.

EDIT: Only London and Paris are left, Moscow, NY and Madrid are out.

There was no World Cup in 2000.
He meant 1998. It was a typo.

Hmm...I wonder how good my memory is. 2002, Korea/Japan, 1998, France, 1994, USA, 1990, I want to say Italy (West Germany beat Argentina in the final on penalty kicks, that much I remember clearly...BAH!), 1986, Mexico, 1982 Argentina...after that I don't know, nor was I alive.

Good for them.

NY didn't deserve to win. 4 frickin' years after the fact and there is still a hole in the ground. They've proven they can't get anything done right. Too bad too since they used to be the ones that Got Things Done.

France? Ha! 35 hour work weeks, 6 weeks off per year, labor unions that strike at the drop of a hat and they think they could have gotten anything done on time? Not only that but you know they'd have surrendered many times. Once to the army of workers to build the stadiums. Nevermind the thousands of athletes, some with *SHOCK* firearms. Oh and they'd have had to surrender to the swarms of media. And dare I say it? Oh course I dare, they'd have had to plant more trees. So the Germans can stay shaded
