200 FCR FB sorc

just wondering, a 200 fcr sorc spilling fireballs all over blood moor which are like 12k each at er well, 200 fcr playing hit and run... is that a good build? or comment on it :p.

if i were to make one, should i go for ES/fb? or pure vita? since i'm 200 fcr i can run really fast?

you might be fast but desynching hammerdins and leaping bvc's will catch you eventually and then you will be in trouble.

Es/fb sorcs are easier on east with all the bmanas floating around, but it could work on west too. I wouldn't suggest block since you won't be able to hit 200 fcr unless you either use spirit (crap block), or use those hacked items which will poof on you immediately

ES/FB would fare better against enemies such as Necros, IMO... but against most other classes (especially SvS), pure vita might be more desirable.

What did you mean by:

If you have 200FCR, you might tele faster, but running is dependant upon FR/W.

well jackson thanks for correcting the minor grammar error i made which you probably know i meant teleporting. sigh.

hmm 20k fb pure vita... that's something i want :D

flying cows.. i calculated about 17k damage or less with inventories filled with gcs and with the kind of gear which adds many +skill as possible(no wizgloves of course)...

how do get more :(

i assume you are aware i'm not talking about making something like a low level sorc? it takes less than level 80 to max out all the skills and synergies for a FB sorc :eek:.

i pains me to substitute my 2 sojs with some random fcr rings, losing out on some lasting mana for spamming FBs :(

well i am using a hoto lol.. was thinking maybe eschutas would reach 20k fb? but seems pretty unworthy since it i lose out on resists :/.

not sure about mana and life too :(, swapping my gear for a 200 fcr build means lower BO and mana :(.

Well, fire bolt does considerable damage as well, so if you REALLY wanna save on mana, you could try that route. Bolt travels just as fast, and as far as Ball does, btw. Bolt just does ~3k less damage, but costs 2.5 mana.

The point of having 200 fcr is to be able dodge just about everything, so those 30-40 resists maybe shouldnt make too much of a difference. But yes, with 200fcr, no ES, you will get aced by blizz's and such, thats just how it is.

You can hit 200 fcr and 20k fb with:

2/20 circlet
2/15+ ammy
hoto
vipermagi
spirit
arach
2 fcr rings
magefists
boots
-----
anni
torch
9 skillers
battle command

This yeilds a lvl 46 fireball. Also interesting to note is that at this lvl the average damage of firebolt is a mere 193 less than that of fireball, and will pass it in damage output with one more +skill. I do not know if using facets in the helm/armor will push it past fireball.

hmm.. since yesterday i converted my current 105 bp sorc into a 200 fcr(will be getting 200 fcr in 10 hours time :D)

gear:

- 2sorc/20fcr/20fhr circlet
- um vipermagi
- 2sorc/17fcr/cold-resists/lite-resists/mana amulet (please, somebody tell me how much is this worth in SoJs in West-NL-SC? thanks lots!!)-
- fcr rings x2... still looking for those with mana mods and considerable resists
- arachnids
- magefists
- 35 spirit monarch
- trek boots

yeah i find that its not so difficult getting high lvl FB at all, but at the cost of leaving no room in my inventory :S.


on doing a gear test today, i found out i'll have like 1700 life or even possibly 1.6k life after BO with my full 200 fcr gear :(. and probably 800ish mana :(.


can anybody post stats of your 200 fcr sorc if you have or had one before? pure vita of course thanks :p

oh and is it good if i kept my um shako, CoH and probably some sorb/stack shields in stash in case if i were to fight these guys?

and would a SS on my non-block sorc help against barbs?

Yes, it will help to lower the damage you recieve....but! I thought you wanted 200 FCR.

For the caster guys... I think it might be better if you replace charms rather than gear. This allows you to keep your 200FCR, and potentially even more resists. Three small resist charms can give you 33% to a certain element, and IMO, it's better to replace one +skill than to lets say take off the Spirit/ Vipermagi.


Please let me know if this doesn't make sense. I'm sort of multitasking right now, so no time to read over.
