20/-20 Mon vs Sanctuary on a Javazon?

Ko Ko Mal - Sanctuary.

20/-20 Light Mon.

I want a good balance of survivability and damage. Friend quit, gave me everything, so I'm making a javazon. Which is better?

Maybe you could post the rest of your gear. It is tough to make equipment decisions for a good balance of survivability and damage with only shields as known variables.

If shields were the only gear I were going to use which would be better?

My gear anyways:

Griffs, 25/20
CoH
4/180~ Titans
Treks
Some rare ias passive gloves
Highlords
2x sojs

If your resistances are low go with Sanctuary, otherwise go with the 20/20.

20/20 Is pure offense, but helps a lot vs anything with high lighting resistances. If they are immune to light, then you will need infinity or something to break the light immune. If you can break it, which for light is quite often. They will have very high light resistances still.

With 65% to all resists CoH provides, you could easily go with jeweled monarch for more damage. Since you mentioned the rune receipt, I'm not sure if you already have the 'Sanctuary' RW made. Note, that it has quite wide range of resist values (50-70%), thus you'd need a good roll on it to beat e.g. Moser's.

Anyhow, since I don't see any CBF on your gear, 'Rhyme' would likely be your best bet for the moment, until you get Ravenfrost or such. A javazon gets raped badly without CBF, no matter how godly the rest of her gear is. There are a few exceptions, namely cow/Pindle running, where you can get along without it, but don't even think about running Baal or such.

Try to gamble/craft a few pairs of gloves, or (if you have the patience) shop either Anya or Gheed for +3java/20%IAS magic gloves. Thundergod's Vigor and Razortail are both great options for belt, and it depends on your playstyle and goals which one you'd prefer.

This'll be pure PvP, so thanks for the input. I'll switch off a SoJ for a Raven, got plenty of them. I have Sanctuary already, it's at 70 res. The gloves are actually 2java/20ias gloves, rare, I made a mistake on them. I'll be using tgods, forgot to list that. Thanks for the suggestions.

For PVP vs Melee there's always Stormshield too. Not bad if you have max block. Ber it for 43% DR. Just an option
