Rare Items can only have two sockets. You cannot add sockets to items that don't normally have sockets.



From my intepretation, it is possible to make a socket from lazurk and then socket it again using the recipe?

no... if there is a socket it cant be socketed with the quest. if that was possible people would be making 16 shael phase blades...

No, a rare with 2 sockets has to be found that way.

The 2 sockets on a rare item ONLY come from the mechanic's prefix which MUST be found on the item from a drop and CANNOT be added.
