1pt wonders

I'm rounding out my K/T hybrid, and like to get some opinions of those who live and breath Assassins. Which of these would you consider one-point wonders?

- Mind Blast
- Shadow Master (my 1pt Shadow Warrior isn't survivng too well)
- Venom
- Skills in the Martial Arts tree (other than D Talon thru D Flight of course)

I'll have 17 points remaining at level 90 and was planning to synergise Lightning Sentry further, but further flexibility/survivability would be good.

If it helps, my 'sin is set up for kicking and uses Rift (thanks Ava!). She has +4 skills from a Torch and Anni, and a pair of Bartuc's on switch for trapping and Blade Fury (one of the Bartuc's is ethereal).

Any thoughts would be welcome!

venom isnt a 1point wonder.

if u really need venom, just prebuff.

u realise venom actually gets stronger the higher the lvl

Okay, so we have one opinion that 1 point in venom isn't going to do enough to be worthwhile.

I got sick of recasting my Shadow Warrior every 12 seconds or so, so I put a point in Shadow Master and can say it was well worth it. The Shadow outlives my merc quite easily.

Which leaves the other two. Does 1 point in MB do much at all? I'm tempted to try it when CoS isn't enough. my last 'sin had 20 points invested and I thought it was somewhat useful on occasion, so I'm worried about its usefulness at 1 point.

Is it worth 2 points to get Cobra Strike for some mid combat healing?

Again any opinions are welcome. :)

If your shadow outlives your merc though, you might want to look into improving your merc, because that doesn't sound good.

I don't think shopbot meant that one point of Venom isn't useful. He's just saying (I think) that you can get a claw with +Venom and prebuff with it, thereby removing the necessity to invest a point.

And I'm not a fan of other Martial Arts for this build. Your attack rating is too low and you can leech fast enough with your regular kicks. Use dracs if you have to.

Okay, I've taken your advice and a point in MB was worthwhile. At the very least, it's good for a couple of second's distraction while you reposition yourself.

Merc was only at level 77 at the time I posted last so I'm not surprised he wasn't so tough. Now in low 80's, he is outliving the Shadow.

Time to pump Lightning Sentry now, and maybe get lucky and find a +3 LS/+3 Venom claw. :)

If you already have a point in fade and some reasonable amount of +skills (perhaps with prebuff claws on switch) I can't think of any reason to not put one point in venom. More damage can never hurt.

IMO the best solution for a kick/trapper is to get treachery though.
