15ed Great Bow beats/equals all other non superior bows for faith merc?

Hi Together,

I found this 15ed great bow and I wonder if any non superior elite bow would be better? Non superior because I do not want to spend time and runes on a superior 4soc Hydra bow (they are really expensive I guess)

So here are the calculations that I already did:

Worst case for 15ed Great Bow:
- 35ias from Andariel's with Jewel
- lvl12 aura roll
-> 9fpa -> 2.7 * 36 = 97.2 dmg/s

Best case for plain Hydra Bow:
- 35ias from Andariel's with Jewel
-lvl14-15 aura roll
-> 10fpa -> 2.5 * 39 = 97.5 dmg/s

A plain ward bow (mid speed) in the same setup with any fanatism roll does 2.5 * 36.5 = 91.25 dmg/s so this is out of the question.

Any Inputs on this?

FYI, Crusader Bows are probably better than Hydra Bows for Faith - better stat requirements with the same speed & punch. They're probably cheaper to trade for/easier to find too (possibly putting a 'Superior' one within your price range).

It also depends on your merc's armor. I went with Treachery, and paired with an IAS-socketed Andy's, it still reaches the fastest attack speed of 8 frames (no matter the Fanat. roll on Faith)... So I used the Crusader Bow for the most damage.

Thanks for the answers.
I forgot to mention that I plan to use Fortitude on her in the end. So I can not get any ias from there. I think the insane 200ed from forty can not be beaten by any more ias.
Will use the Gret Bow then.

IMO speed is more important for act 1 mercs than damage (so they can shoot more fire or cold missiles), so your great bow is just perfect.

The only way for a rogue to use faith + forti and still reach max speed is to put faith in a -10wsm bow. Great bow being the best -10wsm bow it seems the natural choice. This setup will require 30-35ias and life leech from the helm slot (ie, Fervored Andy).
