    100% "Base" MF?

I've seen this posted quite a lot and don't really understand what is meant by "100% base MF". If it's base, shouldn't it mean 0%? Please clarify for me, thx.

100% here means 'normal chance', inferring that 0% (-100% MF) would mean that you would find no magical (or better) items. Some charts (like those on dii.net) use this convention, others don't.

e.g.: If you have 65% MF on, and the chance to get a magic sword is 10%, you now have a 16.5% chance to get a magic sword. 100% of 10% is still 10%.

It's also the same thing as when blunt weapons in 1.09 had 150% damage to undead. That meant you would do 100% of your normal damage, plus 50% more damage to undead. They changed it to +50% damage to avoid confusion.

I find the 100% (ie Base) monicker useless. Since there are no -%chance to MF items 100% of normal MF is a given.
I read everything as +MF so if you say you have 100% MF I'd take that as +100% to base. If you said you had 85% MF that would mean +85% since it impossible to have less than your base MF. Just the way I see things
