WASHINGTON, April 2 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Democratic Candidate for President John Kerry issued the following statement today on the job numbers released this morning:

"After three years of punishing job losses, the one month job creation announced today is welcome news for America's workers. I hope it continues. But for too many families, living through the worst job recovery since the Great Depression has been, and continues to be, far too painful. With nearly 2.6 million private sector jobs lost during the Bush presidency, America's families need and deserve a new economic strategy. In every single month of this Administration, we haven't seen the creation of a single manufacturing job in America. That's why I've proposed a strategy that that revitalizes our manufacturing sector and puts us on track to create 10 million new jobs in the next four years."

The official US gov't numbers for the current US population is 289,558,274
The current unemployment rate is 5.7%
5.7% of the population is 16,504,821
Adding 10 million jobs would result in a 2.8% unemployment rate. Full unemployment is guesstimated at 4.3% Figuring that at any given point in time approx 4.3% of the nation is in the process of switching jobs.

To reach full unemployment as it is commonly accepted means we will have to take in an additional 4,343,374 people who are not working! Brilliant!

Take the kids out of the picture and we don't have 10 million people out of work. We'd be running a 200K deficit in workers to have a perfect 100% employment rate.

10 million new jobs is a nice slogan, but utter bumpkis

OK, so your argument works if you fudge the numbers a certain way. Whoop-de-doo. You want statistical dishonesty? Try reclassifying fast food workers as "manufacturing jobs" so you can present distorted numbers to the American people.
