1 pt smite/zeal vs 1 pt smite/hammer
So I recently made a 1 pt smite zealadin based on the uber trist guide

I'm currently using
Grief Phase Blade
Tgods for absorb
dracs
dwarf/raven for absorb
upped umed HoZ
upped gores
duress
guil's helm
mid metalgrid
tons of resist charms
I'm liking it a lot, but I'm not sure if I'm going to use it for regular playing. I'm not very rich and I traded my sorc gear for the Lo rune to make the grief in hopes of making my paladin better. I planned on trading unid torches obtained with the paladin to get my sorc gear back.
Anyway,I tried self rushing my mule in hell and I found it really annoying trying to deal with iron maiden in chaos, and I admit, I love going gungho in the middle of a mass of enemies.

I only did one uber trist run so far with my 1pt smite/zealer and I didn't find it that difficult. I'm just wondering if a 1pt smite/hammerdin with my gear can kill at the same speed of a 1pt smite/zealer.
I'm not really fond of handling multiple characters, so I just want one character that can do it all. Assuming I have the gear to also make a decent hammerdin(but not a super one), would it be good idea to discard my zeal and just make a hammerdin instead? Classes don't start until the end of september, and I can grush myself so lvling isn't a problem for me. Would I have the same ease and killing power in uber trist with a 1pt smite hammerdin as I do with my current one?
